Here is a real post...with actual information...and ding ding ding, it points that its going to be WORSE for the GOP:

ABC will soon report who had knowledge of the Mark Foley page scandal, and when they became aware of it, RAW STORY has learned.

In an interview with DemocracyNow, ABC's Maddy Sauer has shared some startling facts about the story.

Pages have, according to Sauer, been able to produce instant message conversations going back as far as five years. Some of them are reportedly sexually explicit.

The FBI, Sauer claims, will be interviewing pages starting today.

Sauer also indicated that ABC's next wave of reports on the Foley scandal will focus on who in Congress was aware of the situation, how much they knew, and when they were alerted.

haha more bad news:

In a radio interview with 700 WLW radio in Cincinnati, House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) placed responsibility for the Foley matter not being handled properly on House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL).

"I believe I talked to the Speaker and he told me it had been taken care of," said Boehner. "And, and, and my position is it's in his corner, it's his responsibility. The Clerk of the House who runs the page program, the Page Board--all report to the Speaker. And I believe it had been dealt with."

Please note that by saying that he talked with the Speaker about Foley, Boehner is reversing course and going back to his original position.

dude... seriously... we have already seen it. Foley fucking checked himself in for help because of it. He resigned because of it. Even conservatives are like "ewww what the fuck" but you STILL insist on trying to come up with some sort of defense. It was the same exact thing Hannity was doing last night.

He RESIGNED and turned himself in for treatment. What else do you need seriously. Do you need him to come out and say it? Apparently quitting his position in congress and rehab is just not enough proof. Good fucking god.

I think Hastert is probably done as Speaker, I think he's going to be pressured to resign after this new information comes out about him simply brushing off the information..

Maybe he'll fight it though, either way the Republicans are going to be massively distracted because of this in the 30 or so days remaining until election time..

Any idea if Hastert has a chance to lose his re-election becuase of this? I thought he was up for it this year?

R Hastert 68.6% D 31.4%

He'd need to get all the kerry voters, plus 5% of bush voters, and get a total of almost 19% of the district who voted for Hastert to think he is not only corrupt, but won't bring in major money to the district

I'd say that's not realistic

Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.

ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.

I like how the GOP thought it was serious enough that they had to have a private meeting in 2005, and then confront a leadership member of Congress over something...yet NOT investigate

I think many conservatives don't think that adds up, unless there is something else going on...something not good for the GOP

Man, gay people really have to be hating Foley at this point. Not only is he a semi-closeted homosexual who votes against gay marriage, but he's also now further associated gay men with pedophilia, AND given credence to the notion that gay people are gay because of some defect in their upbringing.

Ok, now it is my turn.

1. How bad will this be for the GOP in November? Hard to tell until we see some poll data in a week or so. Prediction: The D.C. reaction is much bigger than the general public reaction. This does not equate with all Republicans anymore than the sexual abuses of the other party, and there are MANY, equate with all Democrats.

2. Hastert is in political trouble, but how much will depend on the perception that he only saw the e-mails, not the IM's and if nothing more comes of that? Still he should have done more at the time and on the record. Trying to be PC with this shit is "death to Republicans" even if the Democrats did keep a House Rep who had sex with a 17 year old page in the past!

3. Now with that said a Democrat Party and Left Media overreaction may backfire at any moment. Republicans are being sheepish and on defence out of embarrassment. Prediction: If they get hammered too long and too hard they will remind voters which party has the weak record on pedophiles, nominates sympathetic judges, and fights against Jessica's Law, ect....
