| The Unification of America: The Impossible Task We Must All Complete The Unification of America: The Impossible Task We Must All Complete We are at a crucial point in this countries history. We soon will face many problems and were not all going to agree with how to fix them. We are all different and our individuality is what makes feel free. Were Americans and we must never give up our rights to speak our mind. But just because we disagree doesn’t mean we are different. We are Americans and that’s means we are united behind the idea of freedom. When you disagree with a particular issue you should not have to ridicule the people who oppose yourself. Being an American means you respect people beliefs, because you want other people to respect yours. Stop the indecorous debating and pointless arguing because it doesn’t help our country or create solutions. Its unity that best protects your freedoms and individuality. I have effortlessly tried to promote the idea of a united nation, but have not always received positive feedback. People have said I am fighting for a fool’s dream. They have told me unity will destroy independence. They have even called me a socialist. But despite my past failures I will never give up. It was John F. Kennedy who said, “The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.”, and those word were something that helps me to keep fighting despite the odds. Unity is essential for America’s future. We must come together to secure our individual influences. If we remain separated then we will continue to be taken advantage of by those with disproportionately high economic wealth. We have to work together to make sure our different capital doesn’t mean different political influence. We must unite for two of America’s most important values: Liberty and equality. “United We Stand, Divided We Fall.” Unifying the American people for both creating economic equality and securing our individual freedoms is essential to save our country. Shouldn’t the 3 billion of us have more influence then the small handful of multi-millionaire when it comes to directing political policies? Don’t you want your voice to matter? Unifying the American people is not a threat to your freedom. Your freedom is in danger because the economic elite can influence policies to regulate our individual rights. The economic elite has been systematically reducing our capability to collectively rebel against the growing aristocratic totalitarianism. This is why it is so important for us to start unifying right now. The longer America remains divided, the harder the task will become. There is only one person that can make all this happen and that is you. You’re the one that has to make this dream happen. You are an essential factor in your own future. It is impossible if you make it impossible. You’re the only person you need to focus on. American-unity is not something that you can join after it happens. You have to get involved and help spread the concept of togetherness. When someone verbally attacks you and your beliefs, you have to respond courteously. You have to show people that opposing a belief don’t mean you oppose the people who have that belief. So I leave you with a quote from Mohammad Gandhi: “I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.” Good luck and God bless America. -Jay Mick | ||||

| I would really love to say how this is such a great post despite the obvious errors in some of its details. I would really like to say thanks for posting this, that this is the kind of thing we need to keep in mind over the next few years and that how everyone should read this and learn from it. Unfortunately, I'm limited by restraint from receiving a possible negative mark on the reputation system from one particular user on this board from making such comments. | ||||

| Great post, I liked it a lot. I wish we were united, and I will try to be that change, but there are so many folks out there that want us to remain divided and suspicious of each other. They are Americans, but they prefer the American people to be divided by race, age, sex, sexual preference, region, political philosophy, and every other way that we can be divided. I have to admit, I'm tired of fighting these people because they can't be reasoned with, and they don't care if you are as polite as humanly possible. They never worry about being polite, but when anyone turns around and is rude to them, they cry and whine. You are right, unifying America is an impossible task, yet one we must complete. | ||||
