The military base has nothing to do with w-2's as all military housing is currently being privitized. They do fill out w-2's but how a subcontractor handles that is beyond me. In many cases, the SS# that is used, collects that money. I do not believe the SS Admin. compares names and numbers, they just credit that SS account with the tax deductions.
The military base itself requires certain documentation for entry onto the base. As long as the documentation gives the information they need, those folks are cleared for passage onto the base.
