Maybe, but probably not. You know what they think; you just don't seem to realize they don't talk about every issue that ever comes up.
Yeah, that's probably it. | ||||

| Yes there is a big difference, the Christian Coalition did not have a relationship with Bill Clinton, if he does bad..."let he without sin cast the first stone"...since they broke that precedent they should go after any major politician who breaks their moral code...if they don't go after Foley, maybe being a child predator doesn't break their moral code? If one of the key leadership members of the GOP Congress they help elect does this...then its their obligation to inform their members and their organizations about the situation and deal with it. Make no mistake: There were Christian conservatives and their organizations doing hard work for many years (and this one) to keep Mark Foley, a child predator, elected. What is their answer? Silence | ||||

| I am pissed about this. There is no proof that the Religious Right is directly connected with Foley. However, they should still be blasting him and the other Republicans that tried to cover this up for the simple fact that they are supposed to be about upholding morals within government. If Sean Hannity bitches today about keeping Republican seats and such, I may just drive my car straight into a tree on the way home today. | ||||

| It's funny my grandmother was up visiting this weekend and she is from Florida and she lives in his district. I guess she writes him alot to discuss her feelings on various issues. She was very concerned about this whole thing. | ||||

| It's great. Selective moral outrage. It's only immoral if it helps them politically, apparently! If they were true to their principles, they'd be all over this in spite of the fact that they'd previously supported him -- they couldn't know about this, and in spite of the fact that he's a Republican. These are the same people who come out and complain about every damn thing on television that might offend someone who's too lazy and irresponsible to change the channel or pay attention to what their children are watching.. I'm sure they came out and condemned Clinton, and yadda yadda.. But here we have a Republican Congressman sexually soliciting an underage male from his position of power over the boy(s), and silence? Thorgrim is right, their silence speaks volumes. | ||||
