Thank God they're not sharing the wealth. We don't live in communist society. If those people don't want to work there, they don't.

What has Walmart done that is morally wrong?

As if anybody that makes money is SUPPOSED to 'share the wealth'

Talk about going against everything this country stands for...

You totally ignore the "with those who made it possible" part of his quote.

And that's not "everything" this country stands for. Maybe it's everything you think it should stand for.

Actually, they do share their wealth. We all benefit from their equity and stock holdings.

Exuse me, but how are they not sharing the wealth when their entire business model is providing people with the lowest costs goods, thus saving them money?

When I make money, it will not be my duty to share it with anybody else, no matter who it is or who made it possible. It doesn't matter what part I 'missed'; it's irrelevant.

it goes against capitalism, which goes against freedom, which is what this country stands for.

Walmart as a company, on the other hand, gives back tremendously to 'those who made it possible'.

I am sure lou is not saying "divide all the assets up equal to all the employees"

However, each one of the family members is worth 20 billion dollars. They could cover their entire workforce with some of the best health insurance possible for a small fraction of that. Now the family members are worth 19.5 billion dollars... now what?.. other than thats just that many less people medicaid covers.

Let the people who make money off these workers pay for their healthcare. I shouldn't have to pay for it since I don't even shop there.

I shouldn't have to pay for any poor persons health care.

How can you pick and choose who you want to pay health care for

so because they're rich they should have different rules? they should be required to provide healthcare? or should all companies be required to provide it? obviously mom and pop shops probably wouldn't be able to provide healthcare so where do we draw the line?

when is someone "rich enough" to fall into the "now we get to decide what to do with your money" category?

Uh, no; how about let a worker who makes money pay for their own healthcare like the rest of us do?

By the same token, when can I be rich enough to decide that everyone else should have to pay for my employees healthcare?

Sounds great.

We could just put credit card readers in ambulances.
Card doesn't go through? Die on the side of the road.
