It's called "personal responsibility"......I feel I need health insurance so I made that a priority when getting a job. It's a benefit my company offers. If you feel it's important to you, make sure you get a job that offers it or buy it on the side.

Nobody is telling everyone else to pay for anyone's healthcare.

It's something that is irrelevant of the employer; it happens when the system enables it to be that way. We shouldn't have to pay for health insurance for everyone else, and we wouldln't have to if they weren't enabled to get away with it.

Actually yes, they are morally obligated to give as they are able to. You may not agree with me but that is my belief.

So you're fine with enforcing your morals onto other people that don't share the same views?

I don't think i'm explaining what I mean very well.

There are 3 avenues for these workers to get healthcare now.

1. Pay out of pocket

2. Walmart pays for it

3. Government assistance(taxes) or they don't pay at all(increased HC costs for everyone)

If they don't make enough money for #1 and #2 isn't available, where do they go?

I'm saying that if there had to be a choice between #2 and #3, it should be on #2 as they are the ones benefiting from these people.

Of course. As long as you don't want to enforce it, that's fine with me.

I'd like to see some proof that the money the poor save by shopping at walmart is negated by all the taxes they pay to support health care costs.

Ok fine, it is at a highly reduced, almost free cost to walmart. Lets nitpick fucking details.

THe fact is it is free to walmart to use. Why wouldn't they. It isn't their fault bleeding heart democrats want to give out free helath care to the poor. It is a smart business move.

Would they not be better off if they themselves had health insurance?
