| Extensive regulation very well could be the sole problem with the industry. You regulate the doctors, you regulate the insurance companies, you regulate every aspect of it, and it tries to balance itself out (naturally) and causes great problems, thus increasing the costs and causing most of the problems. | ||||

Are you even reading what you are typing? It's like saying I'm just as responsible for taking out your wife, buying her dinner and driving her home so you can fuck her.

If they want to try to force walmart to provide insurance then employees could unionize, organize a boycott, workers could stop showing up to work, etc, but walmart does not *have* to provide insurance. And they won't, until/unless they're forced to.

Thanks for jumping in with an opinion I don't care about though. Originally Posted by 7960 That's fine. In the meantime we will just continue to provie healthcare to these people so Walmarts shareholders are happy.
You guys tout Walmart as the pinnacle of capitalism, when they force universal healthcare and a form of socialism on the rest of us by not providing for their employees.

So you can: 1) Change the law or 2) Make it more profitable to be socially responsible

| I really don't get this, lots of people that are "working poor" use government services; isn't that the idea of them. We don't want to punish those who take low paying jobs by providing better services if you stay home and there isn't a company that is going to provide comprehensive health care to low wage workers, there is no profit in it. So what would people really like to happen | ||||
