Iraqi PM calls for more money and troops (AP)

AP - Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki appealed to Congress Wednesday to press the war in Iraq with money and troops, portraying his country as crucial to the U.S. as a front line in the war on terror and comparing violence there to the Sept. 11 attacks.

If they need more troops I guess they aren't ready to step up so we can step down. So where is our success there again?

And throwing money at a problem is something the republicans accuse the democrats of. Lets see what they do here.

I think it's totally ironic that the Administration keeps telling us what a success this war is....but he is saying he needs more resourced, and then he pulls on the terror heart strings that make us all give in.

Because if a country is threatened by TERRORISTS, well, then let's throw soldiers and MONEY at them.

Well he probably got a spanking from Bush and Cheney since they have been telling us that Iraq needs us, the PM can't contradict that.....

So naturally 6 weeks later the story changes...

He was new to the position, and idealistic. He thought he could really bring about some change with his quaint little proposal to bring people together

But now he realizes that it's not the case, and with the civil war in his country bringing in an ever increasing number of bodies per day, I would expect him to request this.
