Officers spotted a fleeing Woodland and shot at him four times from about 10 feet away after authorities contended he refused to put up his hands and drop what turned out to be a BB-gun. Woodland was hit in the abdomen and thigh. A third shot grazed his arm; the fourth missed.
Ah, it's the BB guns fault this person got killed. I get it Democrats.....

Paintball guns are under attack as well.

Idiots.

But ma squirt gun can be turned into a deadly weapon though. seriously. If someone knew chemistry they could put in chemicals that could cause blindness or burns the skins and so on and so forth. Or turn it into a deadly biological weapon with a deadly virus of some sort.

Why csan't they understand that banning firearms only does two things: hurt law-abiding citizens, and violate 2nd Ammendment rights. And forcing people to own firearms is also a violation as well.

Interesting...they banned guns and are now saying gun violence is through the roof. Maybe they went the wrong way the first time in banning guns and SHOULD have been handing out conceal/carry permits like chewing gum.

So are they doing this because their ban of traditional guns has been so successful?

I do not understand that type of shit, furthermore I do not understand how it is even constitutional.

I have seen no evidence that the gun related crime rate is climbing any faster since the ban in Chicago.

Anyone have any links to studies on this?

I have seen no evidence the "gun control" has led to any reduction in gun crime. The places with the most restrictive gun control laws are also the places with the most outrageous gun crime statistics. DC, for example,
.....DC has one of the toughest gun laws in the country and has had for several years. As a matter of fact, practically no one can legitimately own a handgun in DC, except a few people who were "grandfather" in when the law was originally passed. And my recollection is that these particular guns must be kept disassembled and separated from their ammunition, so that they are useless for self-defense purposes.

In any event, DC just finished a very productive year, with more people murdered than in any previous year.

Oh yeah, that's effective!!

But was the crime rate growing when guns were legal as well?

I know there are more deaths every year, but is it growing at a much higher rate than it was before the ban?

I have to wonder...is there any useful purpose to BB guns? They're too underpowered to actually protect or kill anything, and they're just powerful enough to be a tool of mischief. Ban them for all I care...no one will be without a useful tool because of it.

I'm pretty pro gun myself, but to say "X happened, and then Y happened; therefore, X caused Y" is just a bullshit way of arguing. You have no idea whether there's any causal link between DC's increase in crime and their gun laws, or even if gun laws were more lax, that the crime rate wouldn't get even worse.
