I mean, if they've already served their time, and the law is saying, "These guys are a-okay to return to society," then there's no Constitutional backing for stripping them of their right to vote. Is that to suggest that they're only okay to return to society as long as they aren't voting? I suppose that's understandable considering that historically, voting booths have been known to bring out fury and rage in convicted felons.

they have had due process and were found guilty.

state's constitutions are were you can find the consititutional backing

A 'convicted felon' does not wish to be courted. The wish is merely to be forgiven. To be seen as a man/woman. To be judged no more. Sen. Ted Stevens will tell you the same thing after he disappears from the public eye, pays a public relations firm and begins working on some necessay social justice programs...the people will forget.......
