Fox News polls put self-described liberals at about a fifth of the population

Now, how many self-described liberals have registered? How many self-described libertarians?

I have taken some political compass tests and I always come out as a libertatrian. I went and checked out www.lp.org and I like what they have to say for the most part.

On a serious note, I think that throughout our country's history, although conservatives and liberals disagreed a lot about many things, the divide wasn't as great as it is now. I see libertarianism (with a small L) as a hybrid between them in many ways, taking what is, in my opinion, the best of both sides, and finding some better from elsewhere.

As people get sick of the division, more and more young folks are seeing libertarianism as an attractive option.

Doesn't mean it'll be winning presidential elections in the next 10 years... but it's growing.

I feel exactly the same way. I was a pretty mild Republican and the last 8 yrs have seperated me from that title. I have discovered the Libertarian party and I generally like what I hear.

I am a "small l" libertarian.

I have not joined or contributed to the Libertarian Party. When I have the opportunity to vote for a "big L" Libertarian candidate, I do.
