why do solar powered cars look like a space ship from a 1950s sci-fi movie?

maybe ask him if/when he thinks a viable, all-electric family car will be commonplace? I notice their's is a single-seater, maybe ask if they have any plans for a multi-passenger vehicle.

Also on an unrelated note, I think Russ Martin played back parts of your interview with the "God hates fags" lady on 105.3 Free FM in Dallas last week.

How much net energy is saved from using this car, when you count all of the energy required to create solar panels, the different circuit integration, etc, etc, etc.. and if it plugs in, the energy required to do that comes from somewhere, so..

I mean, realistically why is this a better solution than gasoline, when gas is still the least expensive liquid you can buy (aside from water, and in some cases, not even water) per gallon? It's cheaper than Milk, Orange Juice, etc..

Almost anyone that loves technology would give this project a "cool" factor of 9.8 out of 10. But can 100% electric cars ever be practical as a daily form of transportation?
