He even picked the swiftboats because they were doing a similar mission as the PT boats. Then their mission changed after he got his orders and he had to go on the much more dangerous brown water missions.

That's exactly what I'm saying. He signed up, managed 3 injuries, was re-assigned to a job back in the US, and ended up being released early to run for office.

He won the award for going into an ambush, not for killing someone in particular

Unless you want to throw in some random speculation that Kerry knew that jungle was empty of VC and he was actually totally safe, and maybe you have some more speculation about how McCain wanted to say those things on video and finally got his chance, maybe he was a traitor to america...theres no statute of limitations, maybe you can still hang him?

I haven't insulted his military career in Vietnam.

Its his actions after he left Vietnam that I attack. How he failed to fulfill his reserve duty, how he was meeting with the enemy in France, why he got his honorable discharge ~20 years late, why he posted a fake 214 file on his webpage, lying about Nixon sending him into Cambodia, why he falsely accused veterans of warcrimes.

It listed a Purble heart and Silver Star with V. First no mistake like that would make it on a 214 file, they have to be perfect. Second that medal doesn't exist.

I didn't say that. What I said was he got a purple heart (purble....

) for getting a scratch...an injyr that would have been ignored unless someone with political weight could get it documented so he'd get his "3 injury reassignment."

I mean, as your source titled his book, John Kerry is the "Ultimate Fake Warrior" so surely he faked everything, he couldn't just be brave some days and not brave others, he was a coward 100% of the time

I didn't say he never did a brave thing, but he didn't get sent home for getting his silver star. He got sent home because he got 3 injuries "severe enough" to warrant purble hearts.

Wow, you completely missed that one......you're usually more astute than that, I'm surprised.

Nope...I was slamming him for getting purble hearts and getting sent home. YOU brought up the silver star and I replied to it, then went right back to him engineering his short stay because of a scratch on his arm. Sorry this post didn't say that clearly

Another item that apparently goes over our head, its pretty simple, make vague attacks on someone, and throw in some specific charges that neither side can prove...that way you can smear someone without risk being proven wrong

Problem was it was a fake since it contained a spelling error (they have to be perfect, or they are thrown away) and it listed a medal that doesnt exist (silver star with V)

Back to the Hillary thing.. there's still no evidence of who said this. The source is anonymous, Hillary apologized, pretty sure her and McCain have a good relationship, he accepted the apology, so IMO the story is done.

Not sure why there's a big hoopla over it. Hillary can't control what every Tom, Dick, and Harry who are around her say 100% of the time.
