| Check out the house race numbers for today SurveyUSA - Election Polls When Majority Report released its findings indictating the likely hood of 30-40 seat pickup, it was met with fear or astonishment depending on who you are Now 4 new house polls came out today NM-01: Madrid (D) 53%--45% Wilson (R) CA-50: Bilbray (R) 49%--46% Busby (D) AZ-05: Hayworth (R) 48%--45% Mitchell (D) MN-02: Kline (R) 50%--42% Rowley (D) Those races shouldn't have those numbers, yet the first poll matches up EXACTLY with the MW poll just taken...what happens when the only two polling firms charting these races comes back with the exact same results? In the one race that is actually considered competitive by the big pollsters, the Democrats have enormous leads over incumbents, where the Republicans should be extremely safe, beyond any challenge, the race is close You see, the problem with gerrymandering and all these electoral barriers is that if a wave gets over them, it destroys everything...thats why people are right...this isn't 1994, but if the trend continues, it will be worse...this could be 1948 and there's the possibility it could break that | ||||

| Curious that Krugman of the NY times wrote today that the wave will be kept at bay by Republicans or be a major sweep if it gets over the wall. Is this the new talking point language or what? | ||||

| I was speaking of the big wave idea. Not the polls. | ||||

| It's been being discussed since Tuesday last week when the MW numbers came out...there was speculation for months before (im sure uve heard the word tsunami hundreds of times about this election this summer/fall) I didn't read the Krugman article yet, I'll get to it later tonight No one believed it, not even me, but consistent numbers don't lie I'll be frank with you, I don't know if "the big wave" theory is correct...its just...something is out there, the numbers don't lie and they've been pouring in the past 3 weeks, maybe it's just the biggest fluke or something else is going on... But MW shouldn't have come with those numbers from AZ-01...and SUSA shouldn't have had those numbers from MN-02...and they BOTH shouldn't have NM-01 almost exactly the same...and as a blowout I am hoping congressman will wave these numbers at the RNC and start screaming for money, and we'll cause so much chaos it'd be impossible not to get 15 (hell we have 8 in the bag already) But maybe...just maybe...this is not just a "big wave" but a tsunami of previous unheard of strength...the question is...will it hit us? | ||||
