No, they just pull a Sandusky.

Honestly though, in general, dogs don't maul children either. They usually seem to have an understanding that children are delicate and special in some way. Generally they are only mean and aggressive when they are trained to be that way by a person.

about 800,000 dog bites occur every year that require medical treatment. 90% of them are from un-neutered male dogs.

1.2 million violent crimes are comitted every year by people.

9 million property crimes every year.

The dog that bit me, and the dog that chased me were both "protecting".

I don't buy the whole "trained to be mean" thing. Dogs have a pack mentality. That causes much danger to strangers.

In the case of the chase, (I grew up on a small family farm) all I was doing was biking to the neighbors to borrow a wrench for my dad. As I turned into the driveway, the dog started chasing me, trying to latch onto my leg. I never biked so hard in my life. I remember to this day him snapping at my ankles. They owner came out and got the dog away from me.

He shot the dog later that day.

My wife got bit by a small dog while bicycling as well. She was going down the sidewalk. She was young. Gradeschool.

My little sister got bit on the head by OUR OWN dog two days before my graduation party. She was 6. She was playing. My dad called the neighbor, and he came over and put a slug thru the back of that dogs head later that evening. We had that dog for twelve years.

Dogs bite without being provoked. Face it.

I actually like dogs. It's the owners, dumbfucks like you tards, who think your dogs are so harmless. You think they are so harmless because of the way they lovingly look at you. When they see me, they see an enemy.

Oh I am having fun here. I so love it when I am right.

Some quotes for Wikipedia follow:

Prey behaviors. Dogs retain many of their predatory instincts, including the chasing of prey. Running away from a dog or behaving in a manner suggesting weakness, may trigger predatory behaviors such as chasing or excited attack. For example, the instinct to jerk one's hands upwards away from an inquisitive dog may elicit a strong impulse to grab and hold.
Threatening body language. Especially including direct staring (an act of aggression/perceived as threatening by dogs) or a person not known to the dog moving their face very close to the animal's own snout (may be perceived as a challenge, threatening, or imposing). Staring is more dangerous when on the same visual level as the dog (such as small children), or when the human is unfamiliar.
Small children are especially prone to being misunderstood by dogs, in part because their size and movements can be similar to prey. Also, young children may unintentionally provoke a dog (pulling on ears or tails is common, as is surprising a sleeping dog) because of their inexperience. To avoid potential conflicts, even reliably well-behaved children and dogs should never be allowed to interact in the absence of an adult who knows and understands the dogs personality and trained cues

Yep, your right. Trained to be "mean". LOL

One more fun thing.

So a dogs mouth has less bacteria than a humans? Big deal. Ever hear of beneficial bacteria?

Let's do a fecal matter count. Get back to me on that one, okay?

It's fine if you keep it to yourself, but expecting everyone else to follow your own beliefs because of something that happened to you as a child but not almost everyone else is wrong.

Still a logic fail.

Whoa there killer slow down. Why so angry? Because we like dogs more than you?

I've never met a dog who didn't immediately like me. That's probably part to do with myself being awesome and part because dogs as a whole are awesome. My dog is harmless. As long as you aren't threatening the family, she loves you and everyone else. No exceptions. You argue with that, and you're wrong. My dog is perfect.
