He leaves out the part where democrats didn't nominate a single black for higher office in Maryland until AFTER Steele was on the ticket.

This is the mindset that has set back the black community and hurt them in politics. Democrats use them and have convinced so many people of their crap.
*sigh*

Again, saying he agrees with Bush

Again, if I were to not only look at these ads, but examine his issues that 95%+ of blacks disagree with...how can he campaign as a politician for the black community?

How can I argue with a black man who calls him an Uncle Tom?

It's clearly racist and extremely frustrating for those that do a good job and are successful in their lives.
So if they called him a "nigger" for studying his ass off, that would be racist too?

His relatives calling him Uncle Tom is stupid, not racist

I fail to see how he is not a valid candidate even though he is black. It is pretty sad that you disqualify him based on his race.
I believe Bush has had more blacks in his administration that any president before him. And I don't recall any racist outbursts at black Democratic campaigns recently.

Where is this "95% of blacks" figure coming from?

Sad that a person who is black can't be a republican and earn their position.

Considering 15-20% of all blacks in America voted for Bush.... as stated by polls I would disagree with his 95%.

His theory is that it makes them feel inferior but he doesn't know. He asked his dad about it and all his dad would say is "you're becoming like white people" which pissed him off

I know his parents I dont think they're necessarily racists and they were always incredibly nice to me. But its like when he started becoming successful their attitudes changed towards him.

When Steele was defending Bush on Katrina, this is where the black community was...

President Bush's job-approval rating among African Americans has dropped to 2 percent, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.

A Polling Free-Fall Among Blacks

98% of Blacks didn't approve of Bush....98%! How the hell is that representing the black community...it isn't

I wouldn''t call asking 89 people if they approve of bush a scientific study

This latest poll included 807 people nationwide, and only 89 blacks. As a result, there is a considerable margin or error -- and the findings should not be considered definitive until or unless they are validated by other polls.

Being a seperate racial group from the majority they have issues to face that other races, particularly the one in majority, do not experience or see sometimes on a daily basis.

Sure they have core interests in common, such as good jobs, education, good home, family, etc. but they have additional things to deal with. Things the republican party typically does not address. There are a few black republicans, maybe 5% of them. The other 95% vote democrat for a reason, and it is because democrats are closer to representing them. The republican party is tied to the rich, big business, white, upper 1%. This perception comes from from things like instead of putting 2 billion into a program to encourage troubled youth to participate in athletic leagues or clubs and go to school, the republicans give 2 billion in subsidies to oil companies who already posted 30+ billion in profit. Troubled youth tend to be black. Thats not a rascist statement, it is fact. "Let the free market help poor people". Well there is no money to be made encouraging broke 15 year olds to play soccer and get good grades to stay on the team... so the free market isn't going to do it. When a democrat says we are going to put a program together to help encourage your kids to get good grades and play sports, it is more appealing to them than "we are giving 2 billion to Exxon". That is what is seen from the republicans and that is why they won't get black voters.

It dropped after Katrina due to the media and prominent members fo the black community like Jesse Jackson stealing the limelight. While guys like Cosby were ignored.

So why have we seen no progress in democratic controlled inner cities with a majority black population?

and you kid yourself if you don't think democrats hand out favors as well.

It's funny, I bet you support Cosby's attack on the entire black community, the exact term of racism...but I bet you'd say Cosby wasn't being racist, however if Cosby had called one man an Uncle Tom, that'd be racism...

That's just straight up weird

Tell me, what portions of what Cosby has said is racist.

But his vote will go to affirmative action and all that jazz. He's pro affirmative action. He's against NCLB, etc etc. As far as voting with the black's "issues" he's pretty much a straight roller.

Let's look at the latest polling OUT OF MARYLAND, WHERE THIS RACE IS HAPPENING:

BUSH JOB APPROVAL, BLACKS:
8% Approval
SurveyUSA News Poll #10569

That's not just after Katrina, or some other BS

STEELE DOESN'T REPRESENT THE BLACK COMMUNITY, not even by a long shot, 88% distinctly disapprove of Bush, thats TODAY

Yet look at those videos I showed you, and theres much more, he is WAY out of the mainstream, yet he tries to claim to be a politician representing black voters...thats a scam

So why can't blacks call him Uncle Tom?
