I guess he knows that if the Democrats take control would be horrible. They have nothing to offer except critisism. Their main objective will be to avenge Clinton by making Bush go through the same thing. Like the biggest Democrat talkinghead on our site said:

it proves the strategy that offering "nothing" or a small plan is better than a huge comprehensive plan

They have a strategy of offering nothing. Wow, great party there guys.... I see we have nothing to worry about if they win

Mr Bipartisan would be so upset if Democrats had a 51 seat majority for 2 years, yet Lieberman doesn't even know if his own party should capture either chamber of congress, or whether republicans should hold on...

McCain's comments were CLEARLY a joke, if you'd post some context in your posts like this they wouldn't become arguments.

Democrats were in power in 2001-2002, what did they do that was so terrible?

What exactly have Senate Republicans done this cycle that has been so great? The fake dispute over the torture/american detainee bill, erecting a fence that isn't going to work but democrats supported bipartisanly anyway...they have no ideas

Actually they have one, no oversight over Iraq

Democrats will have oversight...is that a "plan" I don't think I'd call it such, but its a big improvement over the current do-nothing Senate

I did post context, like I said, no one has McCain on suicide watch, but he showed no interest in working with democrats if they gain the senate, or democrats if they don't, he simply made a joke about how terrible it would be if Democrats shared power, and then gave the Bush talking point about how all is well on the election front

in context, he's a scam artist

He doesn't KNOW anything. He can't KNOW that the world will end if Dems take over. He doesn't KNOW anything except his party is in danger of loosing seats, so to combat that, he is painting an extreme picture to scare people. The Dems do the same thing, except the picture the Dems have painted, has actually kinda come true.

McCain doesn't play it off to be bipartisan. He plays himself off as a Lieberman. A man of principle and values willing to go across the party lines to get things done. And he does. But it's for those reasons he has a reputation of being bipartisan, just like Lieberman.

he is a Republican, his whole "maverick" crap was because he will call out other members of the government, and will speak his mind..not because of his political views.

That is absolutely correct. I will defend libertarian VALUES - however, I will not defend libertarians no matter what. If someone has done something wrong, I'll point it out. If someone has done something right, I'll acknowledge it.

I like (sorta) Bush's tax cuts and judge appointments.

I like some things Clinton did.

There are some libertarians I can't stand. I look at everyone equally. If someone does something right, I like it, regardless of who or what they are. That's one reason why I like Teddy Roosevelt even though he was very pro-statist.

So, no, I'm not the Sean Hannity of libertarians - I'm the Glenn Beck.

I generally support Republicans but when they break the law (ie Foley) I will be the first one to call for their removal. It seems like you support democrats no matter what.
