So I bought 3 pairs of pants this weekend. They were all made by the same company, all were khakis, and all were the same size. 33x32. Don't laugh at my waist-line.

I tried on one pair. It fit perfectly. I didn't bother trying on the other 2 identical pairs. after all 33 inches is a direct measurement. I mean somewhere in the National Institute of Standards and technology there is a platinum bar that is exactly one inch long to ensure that one inch is one inch, no matter where you go. Aparently someone forgot to tell Dockers about this standard because 33 inches can vary in reality from 31 inches to 34 inches it seems. the other 2 pairs of pants that I neglected to try on didn't fit. One was a little bit too snug and the 3rd pair was so small that I coudln't button them at all. To the Dockers people, .. an inch is a rough unit of measure. I am picturing some old guy holding out his thumb and saying "Eh...thats about an inch".

Attention Dockers: Get some of these

All the pants were made from the same templates, but stitching can take up more/less fabric, and pre-washing can make some shrink more/less than others. That's what the guy told me when I bought my Z. Cavaricci acid stone washed jeans not too long ago

A 30 yr old man having a 33 inch waste is THIN compared to most people. You'd have to be an exercise freak, on heroin, and anorexic to have less.

I'm like 5'11" and about 165. well lately it has been 170 but I really need to start running again
