Many liberals love Chavez. Here are a few that have even visted to pour him with affection:

Kevin Spacey, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Naomi Campbell, Tim Robbins.

And then instead of linking it, you talk about how opinions change because a Democrat is in the White House? It's a total non sequitur.

How about you go find said thread and link it?
What bullshit you're spewing now. Where are you quoting "vague memory" from? I stated I "clearly" remember. Let's not make shit up because you don't know what I am referring to.

I didn't link it because it was not on this forum. It was on the old forum which I do not have access to. If you have access to it you're more than welcome to search for it. It was after Hurricane Katrina and Chavez was talking about donating a million barrels of oil to the US and offering healthcare to Americans.

Oh, so now it's from somewhere else?

This was your quote:

Many people who post on this forum speak of him like he is a hero or something.
Yet I still don't see anything to back up this horse shit. All I see is you trying to wiggle out of what you said. Maybe next time spend less time making shit up about people cuz you think you can get a quick jab in at people here and post something meaningful

What exactly is wrong with my statement? If you misunderstood my statement or was unclear you could have asked.

Well, in the US, that would include oil companies and drug companies, just to name a few. So, if nothing else, they'll always have oil and drugs.

Out of curiosity do you have any idea how the average profit margin of oil companies compares to that of any other?

Actually, I do not. But if I am making a widget, and my net profit is only one cent per unit sold, and I sell 500 billion of them in a year, I'm doing pretty damn good.
And the record oil profits show that oil companies are making out like bandits.
Gouging? maybe not. But they aren't giving consumers any breaks either.
I understand though. They have to pay their CEO's 10+ million a year, and you have to have your priorities .

So "gouging" the customers in your mind isn't so much marking up a product's price a lot but making a lot of money? The cosmetics industry, which takes a tube of lipstick and sells it at triple the cost of production is fine (and also pays their CEO's quite well by the way), but an oil company making a penny per gallon of oil is an evil entity?

There may be some very good reasons to dislike certain oil companies, but I don't think making money providing something people want is one of them. This seems to be all the anti-business crowd needs though.

I can't speak for you, but fortunately, I don't use lipstick.

Rrrrright. And folks like you think business can't do anything wrong.
Corporations already run the country, what more do you want?

As you well know, that wasn't the point. But this is the quality of response I'd expect from you.

Folks like me? You continue to be wrong. But since you keep your hatred blinders on, you will continue to make jackass assumptions. I am sure you missed all the times stolz and I duked it out. Unlike you, he doesn't plug his ears and run away while making hateful remarks. He responds with opinions that I respectfully disagree with.

I actually am for some regulation to prevent businesses from getting out of control. While I am for some regulation, I think most of the regulations proposed by our government are bullshit.

Because of my beliefs, most libertarians wouldn't consider me a libertarian. It just so happens I am borderline centrist/libertarian and it is the party I side the most with.

I really don't know who or what runs our country.

I challenge you to answer this simple question. What is wrong with a company making profit?
