Fantasy Congress has just been introduced, it plays similar to fantasy football. Sign up and join my league, it's called, ironically, the "liberty lounge" and the password is "liberty."

To put it simply, create an account, join a league, draft a team of real U.S. Members of Congress and have fun as you compete to score as many points as possible. As the Members of Congress you drafted put real legislation through the lawmaking process they will score points for your team.

Like other sports, Fantasy Congress requires three things: a team, a system of scoring points, and a framework within which players can score. In this game, your team is a group of U.S. National Congress legislators, the legislators score points by pushing bills through the steps to create a law, and the framework within which they play is Congress itself.

It could be fun. Right now i'd feel like i was drafting a wheel chair basketball team for a 200 meter hurdles event.

Yeah, I just saw it too and not sure if it's going to be interesting or stupid, but it's free so can't hurt to try it out.

EDIT//Apparently it is extremely popular right now as their servers are being overloaded. If you experience time outs or errors try again in a couple hours.

One thing that i found interesting is looking up the points from my state representatives.

Ben Nelson (D) actually has more points than Chuck Hagel (R).

Senators

Nelson: 298
Hagel: 283

Congressmen

Fortenberry: 83
Lee Terry: 210
Tom Osborne: 128

Anyone else joining? I found it very easy to draft a team this morning, Im guess the afternoon is the busiest time.

I was joking about Ney BTW.

The league has started, apparently it's automatic once you draft your team. So far it's only me and donkey in it, anyone else going to join?
