important note about my NAME....please read if you are a regular

I don't believe I'm "clever" or more "witty" then anyone else in the world...my name 'cleverest' is simply my online name for the last 13-14 years I've had a computer...I'm not sure why, maybe a brief moment of pride in my youth, now tempered and contained in my older age (of 29)....or maybe it was the first thing that popped into my mind...

I feel this was important to post here because I plan on posting regularly and I don't want anyone to have a false image of me before they even touch their keyboard....whatever vanity I've ever had is being crushed out of me on a daily basis by God and I want nothing to do with it! So...hate me for the right reasons....if you must hate me at all

....to make this more relavent to the forum, I'll tell you what I believe in real brief sentences as an introduction of sorts.

1. I believe in scripture, that is the bible in the original language (or using study tools if not fluent) to determine the usage of words across scripture (that is MY CONTEXT...) to determine the truth of what is being stated. I reject all churches and denominations of Christianity I've ever found or studied as being authoritive (or even mildly accurate) and I believe God is capable of giving revelation and fellowship with a person outside of a SUNDAY meeting somewhere...and even outside of organized Christian circles.

2. I believe in Universal Salvation (but I also believe in a harsh judgement) I'm not a Unitarian Universalisy by any stretch of the imagination...I don't believe "all beliefs get you right with God.".....but I don't believe in ETERNAL HELL (No, I'm not a Jehova Witness either, I believe 0 doctrines they teach, they are just another denomination of christendom to me)

3. I believe I will never write a post under 4 sentences....sorry....maybe I'm wrong though....

Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the moral issues that face society in today's world?

That's a huge, huge question to answer properly...needs to be more specific...but in short: Many result in moral problems...which suck for everyone involved...they always have.

Let's start with the easy ones; what do you think about the issues of abortion, gay marriage, and the death penalty in today's society, given their controversy and relative importance? We can get to more difficult issues later...

Honestly, these people can do nothing beyond what they do. That doesn't justify it in the least, but it's foolish to believe anyone but God can change someone's heart in these issues.

As far as what I personally believe, I feel abortion is a terrible tragedy, and since the majority of abortions statistically are done for the sake of upholding the pride of a women (aka: her "choice") who should have had the sense to keep her legs shut in the first place, I feel it shouldn't be permitted as a "birth control" method...let's teach adults RESPONSIBILITY and not DEATH as an outcome to their "choices". Having a CHOICE doesn't make it the RIGHT choice, such an acceptance stems from a post-modern philosophical perspective of truth actually, which I detest as being wholly irrational so naturally I have a problem with such a weak, weak defense as "my choice"...as long as Adoption exists, there is almost always another and better option and we should have less RED TAPE around that solution and more options concerning that. But abortion is BIG MONEY, so that won't happen....

I don't hate homosexuals, I simply disagree with their lifestyles, no more then I disagree with a man who commits adultery on his wife, I feel the relationship, like an adultery is impure/sinful. Except for my own natural inclination to feel disgust towards a same sex coupling, since I simply can't comprehend this lifestyle, I don't pass judgement against them or anyone, just keep it out of my face. my own comforts or feelings aside, I know that God loves gay people, despite harsh judgement against these sins in scripture. In fact the judgements against homosexuality in scripture go much farther for those who study scripture as a condemnation of spiritual defilement, not only a physical act....of course homophobic Christian circles only see the PHYSICAL in everything they condemn, this miss their own rotten spiritual cores. What do you expect when they judge others?

I used to be for the death penalty, in recent years, I'm not so sure anymore, I'd like to hear some strong debates on this topic before I decide to remain on one side or the other at this time.

Thanks.
