| She even had the nerve to make jokes about Obama and the teleprompter...and then do this... I was watching that part of the speech and saw that. Glad someone caught it. | ||||

| If you had the horrid interviews she had before, wouldn't you have something written down? Though she really should have used index cards. But yeah, that was pretty boneheaded. | ||||

| You would think Obama could remember after spouting the same basic message for 2.5 years. But he still has two teleprompters regardless. | ||||

![]() ![]() One could argue, and I might even venture to do so, that she had a few thoughts immediately prior to going on stage, and wanted to jot a few notes down to remind her of what she was thinking. I suspect I might do the same thing if I had no paper to write a few notes on. Even the author notes this:

| While I think that having teleprompters for everything is a bit much, I have to ask how many people here have ever given a speech on TV or in front of a large crowd? If you have, did you use notes? Or did your ramble on like a moron endlessly because your didn't have a form or structure to your remarks? I have no problem with pols using notes. Writing on one's hand is kind of middle-schoolish, but having a notepad or typed notes works fine for me. What's the issue with that? That all being said, I agree with Donkey (crazy, I know): blasting the president for using notes (or prepared text) looks lame when you go out and do the same thing. | ||||

| My point is that not everyone is as gifted as you are, apparently, and it is not as easy to speak in front of public as people think. Ask our last president (or our current one, for that matter). | ||||

Is she too elite to write a quick note on her hand? Perhaps it is her way of "going green" I was watching ABC news bash the republicans today. They were very one sided on the "party of no". They then went right into Sarah Palin's notes on her hand. Seemed a little biased and childish to me.

| I found it amusing that everyone jumped all over Palin's "hand story" yet no one in the media, except Fox News, jumped on Obama mispronouncing "corpsman" 3 times in a teleprompted speech. | ||||

Is it exhausting holding that water for Mr. Obama?
