Why does everyone hate Palin?

There has been a rediculous amount of negative media attention to Sarah Palin. I don't partucularly favor Palin in any way, however I also don't understand why people loathe her so much. What did she do or say to piss people off?

Interesting question, and one that I'm sure can ellicit any number of theories and opinions. I tend to agree with Rush Limbaugh on this one, though (I know I'm going to receive criticism for that), in that she's not your typical politician, and the public loves her for it.

She knows, like Reagan, that simplicity and optimism is really all that's needed for America to turn around.

I don't hate her, but I'd have to agree with Donkey. There's no way on earth I'd vote for her, but that just means it puts her in the same category as Giuliani, Obama and 6 billion other people.

What I think it is, is that the liberal media sees her as a threat so they are trying everything they can to try and make her look bad to the american people. That way, not as many people will vote for her in the 2012 presidential election. I think the reason why many people dislike her is that they don't take the time to research things for themselves and they depend on the media to give them information. Since all they hear are negative things from the media, they are going to think negative things about her. The media has a huge influence on public opinion. For example, had the media "worshipped" Bush instead of criticizing every action he made, there wouldn't have been as many people who disliked him during his presidency. When the media lightened up at the end of his second term, his approval rating rose, and he didn't do anything different than what he had been doing.

I dont hate her, I like her but her as a politician? Not so much. She made it pretty clear she is capable of repeating talking points but I've not once heard her mention policy in detail that she supports. Policy she doesn't support she has not said enough about why she doesn't support it for me to think she actually has a clue.

She's constantly trumpeting the low tax line but doesn't understand supply side (most dont) or how tax cuts really stimulate the economy (most dont). If she can't tell me why tax increases are bad other than it takes my hard earned money (which is a downside) then I'm not going to take her seriously. This is a pretty basic/cornerstone issue of fiscal conservatism something she claims as her own. Yet she can't articulate anything beyond Rush Limbaugh talking points on the subject. Really she hasn't even done that, Limbaugh actually understands the concepts behind lower taxes. I'm not sure Palin does.

Thats just one example, there are others...She's a nice woman, seems ginuine but thats not going to get my vote for president. She's ruining the republican party because she lacks the knowledge necessary to be successful. Ultimately her winning the 2012 nomination costs the nation greatly by seating Obama for another four years...and IF by some off chance everyone is so pissed at Obama that Palin were to win, would we really be better off? All we can hope for is better cabinet appointees but given her track record and what she's said I'm not sure we'd have that.

Liberal media doesn't have to do anything to make her look bad. She does it on her own.

1. Comparing someone to a gorilla isn't a racist remark. Obviously you've never seen her before, because if you had, you would know that she actually does look like a gorilla. If you felt entitled to compare Bush to a monkey a few years ago, then by God do I feel perfectly ok being frank about the First Primate/Lady.

2. Actually, no, I'm not. I'm not one of those people who sit around looking for all the nit-picky details of everything Obama's ever done, looking for every little mistake. I don't have time for that crap...I'm not a democrat, afterall.
However, I do have a problem with Obama's lack of patriotism and common sense at times, and if you think that's too high of a standard to hold the leader of the United States to, then it's you with the problem, not me.

If you knew us both from experience and past episodes...the fact that we BOTH saw the comment as racially motivated means a quasar somehow collided with a supernova in the middle of a spacial anomaly the size of the universe. In reverse.
