| A thought.......... DEMOCRATS get DUPED could the REPUBLICANS be leading the DEMOCRATS right over the CLIFF, handing them the time BOMB that is now exploding............ Now I am not totally convinced of this my self, yet knowing C. Rove, he is not fighting for his team like he used to. The next TWO years might be a good time to hand the DEMOCRATS a blood bath, and REPUBLICANS ........... well just might brush the dust off them and wait till 2008 to regain that power. I really do not think things are going to be pretty for the economy in 2007, with the over priced real estate market and debt .....it will really take its toll on the economy for a short period. I think debt might squeeze interest rates for a short period............. Just keep taxes low and we should recover shortly in time for REPUBLICANS in 2008. just a thought | ||||

| Well, the Demcorats and their media cheerleaders act like any victory over the House is like the second coming. I stand by my prediction that they will misread any gains as a victory for the hard Dean/Pelosi left and will act accordingly right up until 2008. So yes it just might backfire on them and also deflate their constant "critic" role if they gain some measure of power. You must look on the positive side of any outcome. Rove will be the first to do that Wednesday morning. | ||||

| it always amazes me how you guys speak about the republicans like these great leaders. if things are running so smooth in america, why does the president have a 38% approval rating? why do only about 30% of americans feel congress is doing a stand up job?? why have a 101 soldiers died in iraq this month, more than 3 years after "mission accomplished" was touted? how can you possibly speculate that the dems could do a worse job, just how low is your opinion of your fellow man? is this really all you expect from your government? do you really feel that almost 60% of the country is not seeing something that you are? all i have is questions, because you guys never really seem to answer anything. i see ken mellman on tv, and its like he is reading from a script that hasnt been updated since 2004. | ||||

| It's like I said in the past, its a win-win situation: If the GOP holds on, they can only do it by the skin of their teeth, probably a tie in the senate needing Cheney constantly...easy for Dems to filibuster with the ability of 10 democrats to quit it and still happen In the house a 2-3 majority is basically ungovernable since DeLay left AND Hastert is going to be out as leader...and they have to deal with EVERY PROBLEM, including Iraq It would basically guarantee the Dems the WH and Congress in 08 as long as they didn't run an awful WH campaign If they win, well investigations galor, Democrats can blame Bush from stoppping "their agenda" and they would hold constant hearing and basically let retired military generals make a plan for them, which would recieve wide support Every GOP nominee seems to be pro-stay the course, except McCain who wants more truth (talk about a GE campaign killer) plus, a win is a win, especially if they pickup 20-30 seats, a lot of those seats are seats that will not go R for a long long time, you'd need a foley scandal to get them out: AZ-08, C0-07, IA-01, NY-24, 3 CT seats, 3 PA Philly Suburb seats, NM-01, OH-15, NH-02...those seats would be secure for at least 10 years...count them up 13 seats that the GOP can't hope to win back...right now the GOP has gerrymandered and pushed back the Dems so far...that there's really no room for them to gain seats...except IL's Bean seat, and 2 georgia seats, the rest are safe...so again, if we win decently, we'll constantly be 2-5 seats away from the majority with a solid Blue line behind that...the GOP can't govern like that even if they swept back the red districts we win this year in 08 and in the Senate, if we win 51-49, or even 50-50, the 08 battlefield looks great, NM, CO, NH, MN, OR, VA and more are looking like solid pickups, while the GOP has slim pickings in just LA and a longshot in SD There's actually a scenario (collins, stevens, cochran, dole retiring) where the Dems can get a filibuster proof 60 seat majority in 08 | ||||

| I tell the truth in online polling that I do for Zogby, but I know there are many who purposely try to screw up his information I don't trust online ones where it's so easy to manipulate the data or lie. | ||||
