I have trouble believing so. His apology was written. He called radio stations, press conferences, canceled events to get behind video cameras to talk about how he's not going to apologize. Then we get this half-assed apology that's more of an attack on the GOP than anything else and he didn't have the decency to say it to a camera like he did the joke.

How long will the Republicans drag this Kerry thing out? Will they keep this up till voting day? Because that'd be really funny...it doesn't seem to be having any effect on the election and it's going to be funny watching guys like Sean Hannity keep trying to find fresh ways to present the story into next week. I saw a brief clip of Hannity interviewing the liar John O'Neil from the Veterans for 'truth' group. I couldn't keep it on for more than a minute.

He didn't want it on Camera. He didn't want to answer questions. After that self-rightious press conference that tried to spin what was "his" mistake he has gone into total seclusion. So Have Reid and Pelosi! If they are still measuring drapes they are doing it in the dead of night!

Nice try, only the Foley thing did have an effect, and a congressmen who just lost his seat for trying to fuck underaged pages and his party covering it up is actually significant, whereas a senator who's not even up for reelection botching a joke is not.
