Could it be that you guys have to change the subject? Well, milk it for all it's worth, because it won't last more than a day or two,and it won't change the outcome of the election. People care about getting our troops out of Iraq. The bottom line is, Kerry is nowhere to be found on any ballot this year. That's more than you can say for your boy FOLEY.....What's the latest on HIM, btw? See, I can change the subject with the best of you.

| Issues being shifted? The only thing that is disappointing is that people are talking about this instead of real issues before they vote. This, although dumb of Kerry, really has nothing to do with anyone except for those in MA. | ||||

| retired people coming out against kerry? funny my calendar says 2006, but these lines are right out of 2004 i dont know what people want out of JK...go back in time is the only solution He isn't and shouldn't apologize because the GOP spin machine took the video tape and ran it around the country, he didn't do that He should admit he botched it (he did) apologize to those in the crowd or who on Oct 30th saw it and felt he was insulting the truth, but he clearly should not apologize to those who have been listening to the GOP machine's take However, if he tried to explain it, it would just be another day on the news, and he'd be digging another hole, so he did what he could do, he just went back to DC | ||||

| Imagine if you made a thread about the Foley scandal. And someone like me, you know someone who gets all his facts from Rush and Fox, starts making jokes about the intelligence of John Kerry or other non-related people. It's off topic. We tend to stick to the topic. That doesn't mean you can't slander say McCain's views who has spoken repeatedly against Kerry. But to just start randomly insulting the intelligence of random politicians isn't necessary. | ||||

By election day, this whole load of bs will be nil.

| You can disagree all you want, but he admitted he botched the joke he was trying to make about Bush being stupid and getting us "stuck in Iraq." ..and you can assume or insinuate or guess or extrapolate whatever you want from the botched remarks, but the bottom line is that he's clarified it and that's that. | ||||

| So he said he meant no offense by what came out of his mouth...and that precludes him from saying he botched the joke? I have no idea what you are talking about JaJae | ||||

doesn't quite merit this kind of feeding frenzy. I was merely trying to put this "issue" in perspective, that's all. | ||||

| Clarification or not, botched joke or not, Kerry made the remarks, Kerry offended many people, including our troops, and to say Bush is at fault for any of this is just as funny as the media swirl around Kerry. Only Kerry is responsible for what comes out of Kerry's mouth. | ||||

| Good, he should have apologized, and he's learned a valuable lesson. Now he reaps the consequences of his actions, just as we all do in every day of our lives. That's part of the lesson-learning process. | ||||
