It's tactless this year. 5 years from now, it's a great costume.

People dress up as dead people all the time for Halloween, so it doesn't affect me just because the death was recent. it's not like he wore it on his show, or something that was super public, this is a paparazzi photo...

But irregardless, in several years, he would win a costume contest. And I remember some people dressed up as Steve Irwin dead via snake bite before he died.

It's just Halloween.

And yeah, it's in bad taste, but it's Halloween. He's not a guy who is politically correct, or cares about politically correct appearances. Anyone who knows anything about him should realize that by now.

So, while it is tasteless, I really don't care what he dresses up as for Halloween because that's not why I pay attention to him.. and I am a huge fan of Irwin, not just of his shows but what he stood for in terms of conservation and animal rights.

I understand he isn't politically correct and he goes out of his way to be un-PC.

Dude, being politically incorrect and offending people is his thing. That's kind of the whole point.

I generally find his ability to completely abandon political correctness very refreshing because there aren't many people who are willing to do it.

Something way more offensive to a lot more people would be dressing up like Jesus, the Pope, or Mohammed with urine all over you, while being in sex slave leather; or one of a million other things that are way more offensive.

The only respect points he loses from me is that it is a completely unorginial idea. There were all sorts of guys dressed like that at halloween parties all over. Not only that, he is a gozillionaire and he could have put a little more effort into it and spent more than $25 bucks on it.

He's a gazillionaire who prides himself in being as offensive as possible under the guise of 'comedy' or 'satire'. This, in the general public arena, is probably the most offensive you could get.

As for Bill Maher, I still like him and his show, but the costume just isn't very funny. South Park beat him to the joke anyway. I'm only offended that it's so lame.
