Three men, all wearing blue Allen lapel stickers, immediately grabbed Stark, dragged him backward and slung him to the carpet outside a hotel meeting room, according to video captured by WVIR-TV in Charlottesville.

There was no immediate word on whether Stark was injured.

There is telephone no listing for Stark at the university, and there was no immediate response to an e-mail sent to him.

So he shoved someone the first time and they didn't boot him or call the cops and let him come back later?

I call bullshit.

Agreed. If it really happened, there's no way he'd be let in a second time, and most likely the authorities would have been called.

Look how they reacted to the simple asking of a question?

He wasn't let in a second time. They kicked him out. You saw the video.

I agree. The article is obviously full of misconceptions. Yet people back up this article which has blatant falsehoods and disagree with the notion that there could have been a first confrontation.

I guess it'll come in on court. With the Allen guys be able to muster up 20 or so eye witnesses who saw the initial shove? I'm willing to bet they can.

Then again, we're talking about one event.. Not two, as you suggested.

Bottom line is there's no evidence he shoved anyone. That's simply an accusation with no proof to back it up at this point.

The video clearly shows that he was placed in a "choke hold", where the person put his arm around his head and squeezed it around his neck, and then he was thrown to the floor.

Maybe it's really "Denial never knows its bounds"?

from princeton.edu:

chokehold: a restraining hold; someone loops the arm around the neck of another person in a tight grip, usually from behind;

Exactly what happened in the video.

That's a very selective definition.

Why do people keep thinking every time I make a comment I'm claiming there was a "shove" in the second video?

BTW if you look at the video, before the man in the white shirt turns around he was trying to walk through him. He bumps into him and tries to does shove his way through a few people as they try to stand in front of him to block him from getting past. There now I said it. But, he doesn't push anyone with his arms. He uses his body to try to force his way through. There was no reason for him to make body contact with numerous staff members, it was deliberate.

Then a guy points at him to get out. And he raises his hand at his. They grapple and he gets shoved. When someone points for you to leave and you go to grab their hand you're looking for trouble. Simple as that. Especially when you tell the guys to grab their video cameras.

I don't feel sorry for him. He got what he wanted. He brought the situation on himself by the very least through past heckling and running a mock during their campaigning events. He's very proud of his assholish behavior and he got what he deserved. He's not upset. He got his video clip. It's all over the news. People are exaggerating it claiming he was in a choke hold. He made a scene at the national level. That's what he wanted. He's proved himself to be a first rate asshole, but he accomplished his mission. Apparently making Allen look bad means more to him that integrity, dignity and morality.

Now wait a minute. If you were going to "choke" someone, wouldn't some part of your hand or arm have to be on their throat? Someone get me a screenshot of the "choke" part, because I don't see it

I do see a guy put his arm around the back of whatshisnames neck. But I do that with my wife sometimes at the theater. So I actually have my wife in a "chokehold" with that maneuver???

This guy just sounds like an attention whoring asshole. Telling camera men to put their still camera's away and turn on the video because he's about to start something What a joke!

He's a first rate asshole to people like you

He's also probably the most successful political activist in VA, and he does it only part-time as a hobby, he's a law student at UVA and if you've ever heard him conduct an interview you'd see he's articulate, and add in the fact that he's an ex-marine

If that's not an extremely successful person, I don't know what is...I smell a little jealously

I don't blame you, I'd be jealous too, but my girl goes to medical school and his doesn't and I like my graduate program better

Well it's nice that he's only a part-time asshole because I don't think VA can take much more of him being full time. He needs to find a new hobby if he finds it enjoyable to start trouble and make it on the news for being a douchecanoe and looking like Corky from Life Goes On.

And what an elitist attitude to take. Believe it or not, people are not jealous of you or him. It's ridiculous that you would suggest such a claim on this subject. I don't want to be like that moron and I certainly don't want to be like you.

This is not the image of a successful man:

There are varying degrees of success. Being a law school student and a first rate asshole with obvious social issues doesn't qualify as a success in my book.

Are we watching the same video? Because in the video I'm watching, a guy puts his arm around his shoulder and Stark ducks and pulls out of it...there's never an arm around his neck and his neck is NEVER squeezed.

And as far as I'm concerned this has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with a complete asshole getting exactly what he deserved.
