I just watched the video, and it furthers my suspicion that the guy deserved it. He was looking for trouble. He knew exactly what he was doing. The 'choke hold' was a result of trying to reach around and grab his coat to usher him out. The 'tackle' was the result of a trip. The did nothing more than push him the way he needed to go. What a douchecanoe.

Wow, sounds like you might marry him if you swung that way! It's great he goes to UVA. My best friend did as well and I was a UVA football season ticket holder for a few years. I love UVA.

I say he's an asshole because of the reasons I listed. No jealousy. From his actions and examples of what he has done he acts like an asshole when he is around Allen. Simple really.

He had his arm looped around his neck from behind, it's fairly obvious..

You mean the 1 second that he reached his arm around him to grab his jacket, and his jacket slipped off from his shoulders and his arm was quickly thrown back? Yeah...I saw it.

No choke hold. In wrestling that would have given him negative points.

If you're standing 3' away with a knife and I run at you and barely miss the knife, did you attempt to stab me?

He had one hand on the guy's sleeve and reached for the other arm and the guy ducked and turned. It could almost look like the other guy was *trying* to put him in a choke hold, but only because of how he ducked and turned. Look at the "choker's" hands...they're both squarely/clearly grabbed on the guy's shirt. Sorry, I don't see even an attempt at a choke hold (at this point in time

I have to agree. And his being thrown to the ground seems like he deliberately fell in the wrong direction they were moving him, towards the glass wall, and back in view of the camera. I highly doubt that 65 year old man was able to one arm slam that 225 pound guy 6 feet behind where he was standing.

He was definitely man-handled and thrown out. The question is did they have a right do and will a judge convict someone given the number of witnesses likely willing to claim this man had gotten physical with them earlier. I'm willing to bet there's gonna be a counter suit and both get thrown out.

I don't know how he broke the law. But then again I don't know the laws well enough to say one way or the other. I do know that if someone is making a scene within a business, you can do man-handle them like that, or even worse, and not break the law. Or if it is breaking the law, it happens too often to not really worry about it.

If anybody really considers that 'man-handling', they are pussies.

Nobody was injured. There's no intent to harm. He tried to push his way through and grabbed the man's hand who was pointing for him to leave.

There's likely to be many witnesses claiming that in an incident earlier that day he shoved a campaign worker.

I'd be surprised if there's a conviction in this case. If anything he might get some harassment charges based off the information on his own website and if the judge finds that he did in fact shove a campaign aide. I think him taking this to court is a mistake.

Yea I've seen people get kicked out of bars far worse. But those people aren't employees of the hotel and didn't have the right to remove him.

It is an interesting question, but some laws are quite easy to break.

Many people simply don't press charges, and it depends on the effort made. The problem is that just being annoying is generally not a good enough reason to use force.

You can touch people. Otherwise he's just as guilty for using his body to try to force his way through. It's not illegal to touch people. He didn't ask them to stop. He escalated the situation and kept it going.

I know, right? I mean. In order to "choke" someone your arm or hand needs to be around their throat. Someone who says he was being "choked" by a "choke hold" please show me a screen shot. Please!
