July 22, 2006 -- ISRAEL is losing this war. For a lifelong Israel supporter, that's a painful thing to write. But it's true. And the situation's worsening each day.
A U.S. government official put it to me this way: "Israel's got the clock, but Hezbollah's got the time." The sands of the hourglass favor the terrorists - every day they hold out and drop more rockets on Israel, Hezbollah scores a propaganda win.

All Hezbollah has to do to achieve victory is not to lose completely. But for Israel to emerge the acknowledged winner, it has to shatter Hezbollah. Yet Israeli miscalculations have left Hezbollah alive and kicking.

the guy gets all mysty and conservative pro-israel, so its nice to hear HIM of all people say those lines...get some REALITY into the situation

best line: Syria and Iran are getting a free ride. Hezbollah fights and dies, Damascus and Tehran collect the dividends.

He is right, Israel will have to launch an all-out ground assault to win

Then the Lebanese army is going to get involved...you know atleast one commander will order his troops to fight an Israeli force, because there won't be counter-orders not to do so, but an even worse case scenario is if the whole lebanese army engages Israel

add in Hezbollah, and you have a ground war Israel can't win

Why? Because they will knock over the anti-Syrian government in the process if they push too hard or lose militarily if they push too soft, Hezbollah will flee to Syria, and when Israel withdraws Hezbollah will come back as the majority party

Amazing what a few religious extremists who have no value for human life can convince a group of illiterate peasents what is in the Khoran.

It's almost disgusting how every time you talk about these fanatics, who butcher civilians by the hundreds, including women and children, you say it with a sense of awe and worship. No. It is disgusting.

You're talking about the Christian Crusaders?

I certainly don't worship anyone, and the Mahdi offensive of 2004 did not involve civilian casualties, and al-Sadr and al-Sistani have repeatadly told shias not to kill civilians

So, what I say, is disgusting, how?

Just because Europe was run by Christians doesn't mean they were barbaric, I'm not that anti-Christian, you should cool your jets there are a lot of Christians on this forum
