I agree that I am worried about Republicans stealing elections, as much as I am about Democrats. But when you start to say how the Party at large is hacking elections, it's getting close to believing in shadow governments and such. That's a little too far for me.

I think it's much more likely that someone that is of little significance hack it.

You would just think that simple mistakes would tend to go both ways, but they aren't in this case.

I'm not big on the shadow government stuff either, but i'm less worried about an individual affecting these machines than I am an organization.

We should do everything possible to prevent vote tampering. I don't care if we have people hand counting and our votes aren't tallied for weeks. It's not like we absulutly have to know that night. Let the computers count be a projection while we wait for the hand count.

When Diebold is in control of the voting machines if/when the Democrats are winning, I doubt you'll be saying one word.

The issues I have with electronic voting goes well past any partisian issues involved.

There are states where you don't use punch cards...but you end up pulling the lever...usually after directly selecting candidates with switches

We could have easily used that system

you cant pin something like this on democrats alone. its like blaming bill gates for computer fraud or hackers. technology is a good thing, and the bugs in the system that make it easier to hack are fixable. i just dont see any republicans pushing to fix mistakes.

I just saw that special on HBO. pretty ridiculous that no one questions diebold when someone hacks one of thier machines right before your eyes, after diebold swore up and down that it wasn't possible.
