Jazzratt, at your service. Well, perhaps not at your service, but I am here all the same. I stole my username from some guy on some other board.

Job? Ironworker. I'm a Wobbly and a member of the WSA. What that means is that I am a member of the IWW, Industrial Workers of the World, a Socialist-oriented International Workers' Union, which is a federation of Unions, and the Union within IWW I participate in is the Anarcho-Syndicalist WSA, Workers' Soliditary Alliance.

Religion? Atheist, Anti-Theist. Secular Humanist. I'll put a bit on Philosophy as well here. As an Anarchist in almost every view possible, the idea of a God higher than human is a coercive and anti-human ideal, no matter the "goodness" of that god. No Gods, No Masters. I think that Religion is a moral crutch and believe in the Nietzsche philosophy that "God is Dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him." Which, in full quote, means we are individuals, chained with the key in our hand, and yet we never unlock ourselves. I am almost totally agreed with Nietzsche and Marx in philosophy. Me and Marx have similarities but sharp differences in ideology.

Hobbies? Listening to music. Political, Economic, Philosophic, and Scientific study and discussion. Being with my girlfriend April. As far as Music, Hardcore Punk and Anarcho-Punk are my favorites, but I'm big on Death Metal and Grindcore, and I like Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae. Black Flag is my favorite band ever and their lyrics are almost my life. Doing other stuff.

Political Ideology? Anarcho-Syndicalism. The abolition of the State and all coercive organizations and hierarchies in favor of a Direct-Democratic system of Labour Unions and Federations of Workers. Economically collectivized, basically economically Communist, but there are sharp differences that you're gonna have to figure out if you ever debate with me, as I'm not a teacher and I debate fiercely.

Political Party? None. Direct Action gets Satisfaction. I'm a Wildcat Wobblie and a WSA Activist. I seek to abolish Capitalism from the outside, not like a Reformist "change the system slowly" idiot.

Schooling? High School, but with honors and I do have a satisfying job (I'm a Sales Representative for Empire Today Carpeting, I get 10% out of sales, and they can top like $20,000 or more so its all good, but I see the Inner City and the Slums and thus I have become Leftist) Unlike most Leftists, I'm not really a Proletarian or an exploited worker. But I stand for them, always. Class does not define ideology, though we can make distinctions (Bourgeois class=Capitalist, etc.) all who believe in Revolutionary purpose are permitted. Class will be abolished either way.

I look forward to discussing, learning, debating, and making a few friends maybe here at the Liberty Lounge.

What is your Job / Career / Religion / Schooling / Hobbies / Location / Political Ideology / Political Party / etc?

Hey guys

Most of you know me as the elitist liberal lunatic from OT, but in reality I'm actually pretty normal and really a good guy irl--the constant bickering and flaming over there led me here (props to tkg for the referral).

Well, about me...I'm a Junior at UPenn in Philadelphia (Go Fighting Quakers!!! ), studying Economics and Political Science. I'm hoping to do something on Wall Street when I graduate, either in Private Wealth or Asset Management (since the hours aren't so bad). That said, I'd have no problem staying in school forever, getting my Ph.D. and then either teaching, or just putting off getting a real job as long as possible. We'll see what happens. I've had a secret desire to run for political office in my home area of Buffalo for a long time, and lately have been putting a little more thought into it. My hometown needs someone with some fucking common sense running it

I was raised Roman Catholic and remained relatively devout up until about two years ago. Like many people my age, once emancipated from home and once I started thinking more about it, taking phil classes in rationality, etc, I cam to feel that a lot of established religion (primarily Catholic) is pretty hypocritical. I couldn't find a religious sect that agreed with my beliefs, and indeed am not even sure god exists, though I am not yet ready to state that a Supreme Being does NOT exist. I'd consider myself Agnostic.

I'm a big outdoors guy and enjoy climbing, hiking, camping, canoeing, surfing, and snowboarding. You might say I have a bit of a death wish--I like skydiving and bungee jumping also. I've got a Jeep TJ and sometimes enjoy driving it in places where I'm not supposed to. In addition, like most college students, I enjoy partying, hanging out in bars, and staying up all night in the library.

Politically I have a pretty hybrid set of beliefs. I suppose I'd fall most accurately into the Green Party, though I am a registered Democrat. I go pretty far to the left on most things, but admittedly have a couple far-right/authoritarian threads running through me. I try to look at things on an issue-by-issue basis since I don't think any party really captures someone's ideals very well.

I've got a nice apartment high above West Philadelphia, a great girlfriend, a cool family back home, and a world of nothing but wide open prospects.

I absolutely love my life and wouldn't want to be anywhere other than where I am. "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now" as my old hero Marv Levy might say.

I played in a 3v3 charity basketball tournament at Overbrook last year (where Smith went to high school)

We had the only all-white team and got destroyed
