I got my degree in sequential art (comic book art more or less ), but now I work as a graphic designer for a multimedia training company (we do a lot of training courses for the military, hazardous material clean up, pumper, etc.).

Grew up Catholic, went to catholic school from k-12 (art school was quite a shock after that ). Went (read dragged) to church EVERY Sunday w/ my parents right through high school. Pretty much stopped going after college. Church always bored me, but I believe in God. I just fail to see how he'd really want me in a building every Sunday if I'm sitting there counting the cracks on the ceiling. Actually...I should just start a religion thread before getting too deep into this


Covered my schooling...private catholic school K-12, then I got my bachelor's degree from an art school in Savannah, GA.

Born in DC, raised just outside of there in pretty much a shitty neighborhood (forestville for anyone who knows...it's in pg county). In high school we moved to annapolis, lived near there when I got out of college, now I just bought a house on the eastern shore, quite rural, about 15 minutes from Delaware.

As most of you know I'm running for office (Texas State House) as a member of the Libertarian Party. Though I know I won't win this fall, I want the experience and when I have more money in the future I'll have a more serious go at it... More on my political beliefs later in the thread.

Speaking of money... I have officially found something better (paying) than the bookstore job, I'm now a full-time administrative assistant doing data entry and the like at Restland Funeral Home/Cemetery, the largest cemetery in the state of Texas and 3rd largest in the country. Technically I'm still employed at the bookstore for a little while longer, working there on weekends, but pretty much only until I get in all the books I've ordered and get my employee discount on them, 30% off ftw!!

I graduated from North Mesquite High School in 2003 and have three years of college under my belt at the University of Dallas, majoring in Economics and Political Philosophy. I'm currently on a leave of absence to make some extra money to deal with all my bills and such, something I had trouble taking care of working part-time at the bookstore. My eventual goal is to get a masters and PhD in Economics and head into teaching at the university level.

I'm not a particularly religious person, though I am fairly spiritual. I don't particularly believe in a deity of any kind or anything like that, but I enjoy reading and learning about all the world's religions anyway.

Idelogically speaking, I'm an anarcho-capitalist. But I understand that anarcho-capitalism is as utopian an ideal as pure Communism is, thus practically speaking I'm a minarchist laissez-faire libertarian. My political party is indeed Libertarian, as well. I'm a social liberal and an economic conservative (in the modern sense of the words), basically I'm of the opinion that you should be able to do pretty much whatever you want as long as it doesn't infringe upon the rights and liberties of others.

My primary hobbies are reading, writing, and surfing the internet. I tend to spend most of my time with my wonderful girlfriend Sheana, whom I am most certainly in love with and I'm looking forward to marrying her in the future. I wish I could marry her today, but I don't have the money nor the stability to do so as yet.

My favorite philosopher is probably Nietzsche, my favorite American Founding Father is Alexander Hamilton, and my favorite food is Tex-Mex.

Natural, cause unknown. Its called keretaconus, which means 'conical corneas', the tips of my corneas are so pointed that they actually droop when viewed side on.

My corneas are fairly heavily scarred & so I see about 9 of everything & my brain then reassemblies them into an approximation. My face is about 3 inches from the screen & i move my head along the lines of text to read.

One day I may elect to have a corneal graft, but there is a 2% risk of worse sight & as a pessimist I'm risk averse. There are other downsides as well.

I'm supposed to wear contacts but like many in my position the difficulty in getting the trade off between fit/comfort & vision is extremely problematic, so I go without. I've been like this since about 15 or so.

I dont worry about it, & just get on & cope because its not that bad, ..., obviously, as I write loadsa crap on the net nearly everyday. The only bad thing is the blisters that I get if I get dust in eye, ..., they feel like burning sand on my eyeball & i have to keep my eyes as still as possible till it goes, (or suffer the pain for longer)

I doubt I could ride a bike on the road without endangering others.

Yeah, we work on stuff like QTP training videos and the like. My division works for ARFL and AFCESA, so we do alot of graphic design for various projects - including new technology that the AF is developing. It's pretty cool.

I have a degree from U California, San Diego in Poli Sci (5th best program in the nation!!)

I'm a fiscal conservative, social liberal like TankRizzo and defintely vote with my wallet. I perfer low taxes vs. handouts as empowering people with employment is better than handouts. Again, my opinions on the subject.

I actually studed more about foreign relations and trade, mostly about Latin/South America and Asia. I know what makes them tick, how their societies work and a lot of useless shit in between

I travel a lot as well. Been to (in no order) Japan 3x, Singapore, Malaysia, China 2x (inc. Hong Kong/Macao), England, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Korea, Brazl, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Panama and Mexico (countless times, countless cities).

I live in Binghamton, NY where i'm finishing my masters degree in business with focuses in MIS and Marketing, with a splash of finance. I am married, and my wife is getting her masters in education. We are the proud parents of 3 kittens, which are viewable on my MySpace page.

I am a fiscal conservative who has moved from a social liberal/moderate to a moderate/conservative after having made some bad decisions in my life that brought me closer than I wanted to be to the rougher aspects of those issues I once supported.

My work experience mainly involves doing corporate financing/HR work for a not for profit psychotherapuetic service company with branches in MD, DE, GE, NC, and FL. I also recently presented a new approach to internet marketing to the first vice president of the NRA, and will be attending a task force with the heads of various internet giants to bring the NRA onto the internet (eek).

Our goals are to move to Texas in the Dallas area and settle down there after getting our masters, although we may be moving to Fairfax Virginia if the NRA and RNC decides to use my ideas.

I did a large amount of international traveling after getting out of highschool before settling down into a university. Countries that were the most memorable include England, France, Holland, and a 3 month stay in the Czech Republic.
