I used to work in mortgage brokering until I realized how tired I was working 40+ hours at the office and another 40+ hours at home taking care of children, etc... so... a few years ago I pulled a "take this job and shove it" move and here I am now. Enjoying it very much. I'm a registered Republican but I don't vote Republican in every election "just because". I've voted Democrat before and the last Presidential election I voted Libertarian. I feel my party of choice has strayed from the conservatism that I associated with the GOP growing up. No longer do I hold the GOP in high regards and I'm currently leaning heavily toward registering Independent. I grew up with no religious background so to speak, and I consider myself Agnostic. Quite frankly, I don't know what to believe. I don't automatically have faith and I have no clue as to where I should "find" it. Therefore, I question everything and believe next to none of it... but I won't totally discount it as I realize not everything in life can be proven or explained away. Some things just don't make sense.... that's life.

Job: Freelance webdesign for a pretty long time Career : Ive been thinking seriously about going back to school to get a nursing degree, although the specifics arent what im aiming for at this point in time (exactly how far id want to go in the field etc) moreso just thinking about getting the general pre-reqs done and figuring out from there. Religion : Raised Christian, although i dont know if i would call myself exactly Christian right now ![]() Hobbies : Way too many to name! I guess right now the main things are design, gaming, computers, gardening, reading, painting -digital, most of my painting time these days consists of making silly sigs for people i play WoW with, but i absolutely love it!- , I love any kind of home repair/redeco ![]() Political : I openly admit its not my subject, ive never really been into debate and i dont really have the right personality for it, although when prevoked i can be quite agressive and instigate confrontation, on a day to day basis im generally more of a "youre right! argument over." type person ![]() I probably wont ever post in the political forums but so far ive posted enough here so i might as well give a little more about myself.

| My name is Ramon, I'm 17, and I'm going to be a senior in High School. Job: Well, I've had a few small jobs here and there over the summer, but it's been difficult to have a stable job since I wanted to get a few college credits over the summer. Career: I've been looking into business for my career after college. I plan to go into politics later in my life. Religion: I've been raised Catholic, but my beliefs have influences from all denominations. School: I'm about to start my senior year at High School. I plan to attend the University of Miami. I want to major in Political Science, but I don't know if I want to double-major or major-minor in something else. I live in Miami, Florida. Politics: Well, I've always considered myself a Republican, but up until, oh, say, 3 years ago when I was 14 I started making my own opinions. Ever since then I have considered myself more right-of-center-libertarian than anything. I'll be able to vote in the coming presidential elections. Right now, I believe I'm going to register Independent. and, yes, I'm Cuban. | ||||

| I guess it wouldn’t hurt if I pop in here and tell you all a little bit about me, so... I graduated from Plano Senior High in 2002, with an interest in graphic arts and promptly took 2 semesters of college with the intention of graduating with a degree in art of some kind. I never got around to finishing college so I’m stuck working at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, designing Memorial Bookmarks. It pays more than a job at the local Ritz Camera store, but I think my talents are being wasted on these cheesy 9”x3” laminated remembrances. I would like to have a better job involving graphic design, but I would LOVE a job as an elementary school art teacher. I’m still thinking about going back to school one day and getting a degree, but that’s not at the top of my to do list at the moment. Right now, I want to focus on saving some money and getting my feet firmly planted on the ground. My current living situation isn’t exactly what I would like it to be at this point in my life, but I’m working to change that. My boyfriend Jeffrey (known to most of you as Publius) moved in with me a few weeks ago due to the fact that he got a job where I work. All is well and good, except for the fact that I live with my parents. I’ve been living back at home for a little over a year now due to the untimely death of the person I had been living with. It was weird enough getting used to living at home again, but it’s gotten that much harder to get used to having my boyfriend there too. Needless to say, we are both saving money in hopes of getting out of my parents house and start the rest of our lives together. As far as hobbies go, I love art most of all. I don’t find the time to do it as much as I would like to, but it is a serious passion for me. My love for art includes but is not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, computer graphics, old photo restoration and photography. I love photography so much in fact, that I let my parents spend some retarded amount of money to enroll me in the New York Institute of Photography. Problem with that was that I never turned in a single assignment. As you might gather, I have a hefty case of ADHD that prevents me from caring about one thing long enough to finish it. I tend to start things and leave them half done more often than not. As for politics… I’m not a big fan. Jeffrey on the other hand, is quite into politics and that’s more or less why I’m here. Jeffrey is my world and I try to get excited about the things that interest him. As you might know, he is running for office (Texas State House) as a member of the Libertarian Party and I want to be his biggest supporter. I can’t help but assume that I’ll probably stick to the Speakeasy section of this forum though. | ||||
