I'm a stock analyst. I just got into the market. I really never thought I'd end up here, but I got a call from an old boss asking me to do some research on companies. (Back story: I used to be Director Of Product Line Development for a company that this person owned, and my job was strictly R&D. I was great at my job, so my old boss wanted me to come in and do more research.)

I'm an atheist. I used to be rather bitter toward most theists, however, I've grown a little more tolerant of religious people in recent time. I'm still contemptuous toward Christianity as a whole, especially American Christians.

As far as education goes ... I just have a high school diploma. I'm not too big on the public school system, especially universities. I prefer to remain an autodidact.

I am into philosophy in most flavors, especially religion and ethics. I'm off and on when it comes to political philosophies, but I'm not too big on American politics.

I'm located in socal. I live in Arcadia, but most people don't know where that is (it's where the Santa Anita Race Track and Los Angeles Arboretum are located), so I usually just tell people I'm from Pasadena.

My political philosophy would probably be libertarianism. I'm pretty big on privatizing most of the current government run and regulated programs. I'm definitely big on privatizing a large portion of the school system. Free enterprise is pretty big. But all of that is just a pipe dream for America. I generally vote for patches and fixes for bigger problems, rather than voting to take away some power from something or someone as a means of offering a permanent solution. The power won't be taken away without force. My political party affiliation would probably be Republican, but I don't like them too much these days. I like the way Arnold is handling things here in Cali. I feel less distressed than I did with Davis.

I don't really have anything else to add.

Yeah, they stream online, they are on M-F from 3-7p.m.

I like them, I'm apparently a Democrat, and I suppose I'm kinda liberal, they are known to be pretty "conservative".

They talk alot about Southern Cali Immigration issues, and things of that nature...they get in trouble with people, today they played tape of Villaraigosa like, talking crap about them or something...

I don't know, take a listen sometime and tell me what you think...

What is your Job / Career / Religion / Schooling / Hobbies / Location / Political Ideology / Political Party / etc?

Job, writer, currently unpublished.

I believe in God but I am no Christian, I am trying to find out what group is right for me. I was fornerly an atheist until I witnessed an excorcism and experienced some things that I just can't explain.

I have a general AA Degree.

I like to draw science-fiction and fantasy, non-professional artist, astronomy archeology, history, and weight training, and I am currently learning how to play the guitar.

I consider my political views mixed. For example, I am a strong supporter of the second ammendment but hate firearms, I am pro-life personally but feel the government should be left out of it because the government has no right to decide who can and cannot be a parent, I do not believe America was founded on Christian values, I do not support Amnesty, I do not like President Bush but I support his action in going ito Iraq with Operation Iraqi Freedom and believe there is a lot of good happening there that the mainstream press, and I do not support amnesty for illegal immigrants in any shape or form and feel they should all be deported or imprisoned for slave labor, since the claim isthey'll do the jobs nobody else wants to do and heavy fines for the business and employers, and maybe even jail time for them breqaking the law. It really made me angry that the President waqxs going to grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants even though two thirds of Americans did not support it. That's the kind of thing that causes such voter apathy today because people begin to wonder if their vote really counts at all and if it doesn't, why vote at all?

However, I do tend to be outlandish in my posts because I like to use a Rush-ism: Illustrate absurdity by being absurd.

I am also a poor typist so if you see mispellings it is because of that. One of the most common forms of insults I see is people calling another persion retarded which is baloney because spelling is never an indication of real intelligence.

So that's just a part of me.

To know me is to love me is to know me is to love me.

You see.

Hello folks
My name is Doug. I am a retired Navy officer with 32 years of work in the intelligence field with the navy and with DOD. My first assignment was in VietNam as an intelligence officer with the SEAL teams. I spent time in many countries and bases here in the states.
I am married to a wonderful woman (38 years now) and have three sons...(one son deceased). The other two are in the service. One is an army Ranger, the other a Navy Lt. Commander.
I am quite opinionated and do not need validation from anyone, but will do my best to always be polite and considerate of others. I am looking forward to the discussion.
I am somewhat distressed that I see no spell checker as I have fought dyslexia my whole life. Oh well I have plenty of dictionaries.

Hi fellow Americans. I am not a socialist, marxist, communist, atheist, appeaser, or an islamofascist.. so it follows that I am a conservative republican. I've never served in the Armed Forces, but I don't believe that disqualifies one from speaking out about the use of the Armed Forces. That arguement simply doesn't stand to reason. We are all (ideally.. you know.. before the democrats COMPLETELY divided our country) part of the same team.. yet in various aspects of duty. I believe the biggest problem we face as a nation is political-correctness.. I mean.. what do we expect when we kick God out of school? Not even for respectful, observational purposes.. say at the beginning of the day. That way kids are made aware (if not in the home) that there is a God, and we will ALL answer to Him one day for the deeds we have done in the flesh. Hey, then we could just move on... but see.. then the respect for life has been planted somewhere in the kids brain.. and thus we wouldn't have anything like what we have today. Obviously liberals hate God (the REAL GOD .. who is Holy) more than they hate evil and 'evil doers' (for those of you in Rio Linda, 'evil doers' is not someone who sins occasionally.. we are ALL sinners). But I agree with Diamond, that Bush has failed on the borders issue.. and the ridiculous NAFTA giveaway of America. To me, these actions (or lack thereof) are the result of Bush caving in to democrat/liberal pressure. Same with the #1 criticism of Bush#41: "Read my lips" but anyone with a brain and a working conscience knows that was a result of caving in to liberal/democrat pressure. Liberal hypocrisy is a vast sea! But apparently to the misled, God-hating liberal, the only hypocrisy is one who is Christian and has a less than perfect past... Which is the case with EVERY HUMAN BEING ALIVE!!!! I'm about fed up with this BS. Anyway, greetings people. BTW, I'm male, married 17 yrs. with 2 teenagers, and 43 yrs. old. I'm a musician, and do maintenance/handyman work. God has been berry berry goo to me!!
