| Who are you? What is your Job / Career / Religion / Schooling / Hobbies / Location / Political Ideology / Political Party / etc? I work as a contractor for Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL. I do computer graphic design at my job. I work with apps such as Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, 3ds Max, Maya, Flash, Director, etc. I'm also sort of an IT at work. (I'm not officially IT) I also own my own business. In my company, I do all computer related services. Such as build computers, sell / resell computers, clean spyware, remove viruses, IT, install / setup networks, video editing, graphic design, web design, etc, etc. I'm currently at a break in school, but when I go, I am going for dual-majoring in Computer & Electrical Engineering. Eventually, I also want to get majors in PPE (Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics). I am a Christian, and quite a devout one. (Although my "devoutness" may differ from others) I also consider myself an anarcho-capitalist. But not all the time. I call myself different political terms - conservative, classical liberal, libertarian, federalist, constitutionalist, etc. I am a registered Republican but can hardly even stand the party now. In 2000, I was a huge die-hard Republican and loved Bush. What a joke he turned out to be. He and his party. Around '03, I started reevaulating what my actual political beliefs were, and whether the Republicans lined up with those beliefs. They didn't.My hobbies are few. I like playing World of Warcraft. I love tinkering with computers. I enjoy hunting and fishing. I love and fully enjoy reading books. I have all kinds of books. Religious, political, fiction, sci-fi, comedic, etc. My favorite television shows are Law & Order (any), 24, Jackass, Southpark, Nip / Tuck, Star Trek (any), That 70s Show, and that's all I can think of right now. I have been married to my wonderful wife since Novemeber '05. Currently, she is 3 months pregnant. I am very happy with my life right now. I love it. | I'm a retired stuntman now a stay at home dad. My son is 10 months and the center of my universe. I was raised with no religion and I would call myself an athiest. I'm a high school equivalency grad. I like to workout (mostly rehabing my body from years of getting the shit beat out of me at work), video games, cooking, reading, TV (huge Trek fan but I don't own spock ears or anything like that), movies and drinking. I'm in Algonquin Illinois which is in the far far northwest suburbs of Chicago. I'm a liberal Democrat, but I love sound economic policy. I've been married for just over a year now and we couldn't be happier other than the long hours my wife works due to an hour and a half commute to and from work. | My name is Danny, and I'm 22. Well, I'm currently a student at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa, majoring in mechanical engineering and entering my (hope to god) final year. I also work at a local pub during the summer and possibly a bit during the semester, depending on how busy i am. Religion-wise, i am a confirmed Lutheran, but I haven't gone to church religiously (hehe, it's a pun, get it?) since my confirmation. I don't feel like it's necessary to go to church to be a good Christian, but i don't mind going and find it kind of a nice refresher when I do go. And i am constantly trying to reconcile my scientific beliefs with my religious beliefs. As far as hobbies, I like long walks on the beach and sunsets. But my real hobbies are reading (fiction and nonfiction), beer, and arguing politics on the interwebs, among other things. I've got a girlfriend of 4+ years that just finished up nursing school and passed her boards. And we are both on the left side of the political tracks on most issues, but I really can't stand most any politicians and am greatly disillusioned with the happenings in Washington. Edit: after reading Ardentfrost's post, i forgot to mention that one of my hobbies is cooking. I love cooking. Last edited by Comrade Ramius; 07-19-2006 at 12:30 AM. | ||||

| My name is Jason, I'm turning 24 this weekend. Finishing up school. Majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminal Justice. I've had about 4 other majors at some point as well as a brief stint in the military. Currently living at home and helping my mother as best I can. I work a minimum of 45 hours a week, sometimes 75... at a local movie theater, that isn't so local to where I live.I have a wonderful girlfriend who I love... she's on this site as Curlyque221. | ||||

| Glad you made this post, I wanted someone to and didn't want to be the one who did it ![]() I work in the Audio/Visual industry as a Technology Manager, which means nothing to you unless you're IN the A/V industry It means that I maintain and repair A/V systems. A/V systems includes all audio, video, and control technology contained within any enclosed space (and sometimes even outside, though I don't deal with those). Enclosed spaces can be something as simple and small as a 5 person board room with a Video Teleconference unit in it, to something as complex as a movie theater. In other words, it's pretty broad... if it accepts, produces, or controls sound or video, then I am involved with it ![]() I'm a Christian, though I do not attend church. I feel most churches slight my relationship with God instead of helping it. I'm not opposed to going to church, I just can't find a good one. But then I don't believe I need to attend church to be a good Christian. I went to Georgia Tech for 5 years to become a Computer Engineer, but didn't finish (though I got close). I didn't finish for a variety of reasons, but at any rate, I took a 2.5 year break and recently went back under a new major, Industrial and Systems Engineering. I'm taking my time and trying to prevent another burn out. My hobbies are just whatever I find fun at that time. I play World of Warcraft (on Thunderlord ), I enjoy cooking, helping people with home improvements (since I don't have my own home yet), playing music, playing with various types of electronics, and, of course, talking politics.I live downtown in Atlanta, GA. I love living in the city, but will probably have to move to outside of the city in October when I get married to my girlfriend of 5 years. I call myself a libertarian, though I take each issue seperately and apply my ideals to it. My name is Josh and I turn 25 this weekend | ||||

| What is your Job / Career / Religion / Schooling / Hobbies / Location / Political Ideology / Political Party / etc? My job/career: I work at an engineering company and I am on their IT staff. Our structure is kind of wierd. We have a department called IS which does enterprise support. They do routers, domain controllers, and a universal help desk for everyone. I am on the team that supports our department, which is engineering (as opposed to architecture, etc). Our job supporting the department involves everything from changing a toner to configuring their servers. When we have warranty issues or significant projects we call IS to help out. I am on a team of 5 that supports approximately 400 users. Our company has about 4000 users over 110 offices across the country. Great place to work if you have one near you. Religion: I was not really raised going to church or with any kind of religion. I have viewed it rather objectively. Some weeks I am what they call agnostic and other weeks i'd say im athiest. Other times, based upon world events, I really do hope there is a god to help us. heh. Schooling: I started with an associates degree from a tech school. Since then there is a bachelors in MIS and I also substitute teach part time for the college I got my associates from. Hobbies: My main hobby involves going to the lake my grandpa lives on and water ski. I have been doing it since I was 6 years old. I have done slallom since i was 8. If i could do it 4 times a week 5 hours a day like the good guys I could be up there. Unfortunately I do not have the capital or anyone to pay the bills for me. Politics: I am a democrat. 70% of the views democrats have, I share with them. In a general sense I share their views on taxes, labor, social security, healthcare, defense, foreign policy, environment, etc. I am conservative on immigration, death penalty, guns, abortion (sort of). I also think the least amount of laws on the individuals the better. I think that business needs regulated in some cases, such as environmental policies. Location: I am in Omaha, Nebraska and have been here my whole 25 years of existance. Its boring sometimes but in general its a great place. I like to think its because we have a democrat mayor in a red state, but the cost of living isnt to bad and we have everything the big cities do, except less crime, traffic, and all the other overhead. etc: When scrumtralecent is not asking me on dates I am making out with jajae | ||||

| I am a software engineer for the 'world's most technologically advanced port', which is bullshit, I hope. Most of my work entails writing small test related applications/applets, writing test plans (ironically, I love my job but hate writing test plans, lol). My real hope and life's work, thus far, is to continue developing an idea that I came up with that will hopefully help change how Americans eat... or at least some of them. After that maybe I'll tackle faster than light travel or something hehe I am a Christian, as in I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, and I do believe that the Bible should be taken mostly literally, but in context. I do not believe in adding stuff to it. I do not believe in forcing it on others, but I'll share when asked, and sometimes even without being asked. My hope is to share by example, though... and unfortunately my short temper kind of shoots that in the foot sometimes. I guess you could say I'm non denominational. I was 'homeschooled' through highschool. Unfortunately, my parents didn't really put much effort into it, so I had to teach myself when I got to about 15 and realized I wanted to go to college someday. I am a sponge and soak up everything I can get my hands on of the appropriate complexity, whenever I get a chance. After that I went to community college for a year or 60 credits or so, at which time I recieved a job offer I couldn't refuse. That's about it for formal education, but to this day I value learning greatly and participate in it whenever I can. Hobbies... Internet forums. Software Development. Robotics. Model Rockets. Aircraft. Armchair quarterbacking pretty much anything. Outdoorsy stuff when it's warm/sunny out... camping is always fun. Politics... I hesitate to align myself with one party, but the party that is closest to what I believe would be the Libertarian Party, and I do support their efforts to gain ground in the United States. I support most of what they push, but I do feel that a few things can't be left to the free market... for instance, the environment. I guess no party is perfect, right? Location: Lake Stevens, Washington. I'm about 3 minutes from a beautiful lake, and have been blessed with the opportunity to live in a great place in general. The neighbors kick ass, block parties ftw. edit: My name is Andrew, but many of you already knew that. Last edited by thewise1; 07-19-2006 at 12:45 AM. | ||||
