My wife was in a hurry leaving this morning....

She's flying through the house trying to leave and runs out the door. About 1 minute later the door flies open (like it always does) and she comes into the living room, stops and just stares at the ground. She looks at me and says "Shit, I forgot what I forgot!"

She's such a card sometimes....

My wife has *NEVER* left the house and not called within 5 minutes of leaving to tell me something. More than once she's called while sitting at the mailbox, waiting to back out of the driveway.

My wife is always late. So she is always leaving the house in a panic. I finally told her to quit locking the door on the way out because she leaves, starts the car, realizes she forgot something and then rings to doorbell for me to let her in!

But my wife is like yours. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for her to drive without being on the phone. She has 4000 minutes and gets pretty close to using them every month.

My wife thinks the "be there by..." time is actually the "leave our house by..." time. I think it's extremely rude to be late, she thinks the time on the invitation is a suggestion and everyone is actually expected to get there later. If it's a house party or meeting at a bar or something to hang out, sure, but when it's dinner or if we're meeting people at a specific place/time, it's not ok.

Worst one... one time I'd had enough of saying "are you ready yet?" so I went out to sit the car thinking that would send a message and speed her up. A few minutes later I saw her buzz by the living room window with the vacuum. I lost it and backed out of the driveway and left. She called me about 5 minutes later, thinking I was going to gas up the car. I told her if she was going out with us she was going to have to drive and explain to everyone why she was late and I wasn't. It was a fight, but it was worth it
