I've lost over 20 lbs the last month

doing my own diet, that is somewhat of a combination of an organic, low-carb, and mediterranean diet.

Good work dude. I haven't lost weight, but my muscles are getting bigger. I guess I'm not really gonna move much. I have a duathlon coming up this Sunday. Maybe I'll take a dump and lose 5 lbs.

I've lost a few just from cutting out all fast food.

I feel a lot better too.

One of my best friends had a heart attack on Sunday. 44 years old. He's ok but it showed me I need to be more careful with what I eat and I need to be more active. We both work from home and it's a killer having the fridge so close all day long.

I cut out all fast food, as much as possible.

If I *have to eat fast food, I opt for chicken over beef. I also opt for as much veggies as possible. No fried foods or bread.

No potatoes. No rice.

Try to eat only organic vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, dairy, etc.

No pork.

No baked goods, no sweets, etc.

Lots of organic yogurt. Lots of olive oil.

After 4 weeks of being on a pretty restrictive low-carb diet, I have slowly introduced carbs back into my diet. Only eat organic whole wheat / full grain brown rice, sprouted breads, pasta, etc.

No sodas, diet sodas, etc.

Only drink water.

No artificial sugars.



I feel great.

No Pork? I thought pork was still considered decent for you?

Pork is allowable under a low-carb diet. But one of the diets I stole to create my own was also a Kosher Levitical diet, which means no pork.


I absolutely love pork though.

Yes, a lot of it was water weight. And no, it isn't unhealthy. Unmetered, uncontrolled, unwatched loss of large amounts of weight is unhealthy, but the lost of weight on a strict regimine with medical controls is not unhealthy.

The concept of not losing X amount of lbs in X amount of time is the understanding that it is being done without supervision, controls or propper dietary supplementing.
