Ben Nelson - Senate

and i found this quote from the local paper... and rofl'd my lol's off

I like to get out and vote pro-life," said the mother of two. She pulled out a voters guide on the issue. Even though the guide endorsed both Pete Ricketts, a Republican, and Ben Nelson, a Democrat, Raabe said she opted for Ricketts for the U.S. Senate.

"He's a little more conservative," she said.

It's important, she said, to keep Republicans in control so the party can finish what has been started.

Finish what they started??? WTF did they start?

Democrats take treats away from dogs and give them to other dogs that didn't even have to do any tricks!

Anyways, voted early before work, about 9am.

Probably 20-25 people there, a dozen electronic machines. They gave us a electronic card to put in the machine, and warned us not to touch the gold metal on the top. I'm not keen on the idea that someone can screw up my vote by touching the card, but hey whaddya gonna do? No reciept. The machine worked well and it only took about 5 minutes or so.

Voted Democratic unless the Democrat was an incumbent and there was a Libertarian, then, I voted Libertarian. Voted for the unopposed Republicans, and on the local issues, which are pretty boring here in Georgia.

One of the candidates in my area is named Rich Golick. Think about it.

I am so sad. I spent about an hour filling out my absentee ballot this morning, and intended to take it to the polling place after my errands to the library and the grocery store, but I started having contractions in the bread aisle, and by the time I got home, I had to go lay down and wait for them to go away. They were still coming, so I couldn't go turn it in. But, in California there wasn't any race that was close, or anything...

But, had I been able to go down and turn it in...

Arnold for Gov

Jerry Brown for Attorney General

Feinstein for Senator (No way was she going to loose.)

Ed Royce (R) for Congress (No way was he going to loose either.)

I didn't vote for any of the judges.

I didn't vote yes for any of the spending bills, except for the Sex Offender bill (because I live next to a park and a school...)

Voted NO on the Parental Notification Prop

Voted Yes on limiting Emminent Domain

And I think that would have covered it.

I voted on Monday, since I was working the election on Tuesday.

Gov - LP candidate Pierce, who amazingly got over 60,000 votes
Sen - Sherrod Brown, I hated voting for him, but Mike Dewine had to go
House - Tim Ryan, Democrat - great House member, won with 80% of vote
Tom Sawyer for State Board of EDU - he was against creationism junk in the curriculum and won big

Issue 2 - amendment to raise minimum wage - I voted NO
Issue 3 - amendment to allow slot machines in 9 locations - I voted YES
Issue 4 - amendment to ban public smoking except for bars, restraunts, bowling alleys, etc - I voted NO
Issue 5 - smoking ban in all public places, including restraunts etc - I voted NO

Issue 2 passed, Issue 5 passed, the others failed = aka the most anti-business, anti-job options possible for Ohio

voted NO for a levy tax increase for the county Health dept
voted YES for a renewal levy for the County Board of Mental Health & Retardation
voted NO against a tax levy for our village police department
