OFFICIAL: Election day thread v.results

This is the official thread where the election day remarks will be held. We have plenty of threads on info regarding the election, polls, etc. This is where the final results will be discussed.

I voted for Ken Chase against Ted Kennedy, only because I can't wait for the day that Kennedy is removed from office. How that guy continues to win baffles me.

I voted for Kerry Healey for governor because I can't stand criminal defense lawyers, she has experience already as she was under Mitt Romney, and Patrick ran a terrible campaign. Basically, all his ads were 'don't vote for Healey because she has attack ads'. I thought Healey had both ads attacking Patrick (rightfully so) and she had ones praising herself.

I voted Frisoli for Attorney General because he was Republican, and I really don't care about the position and I have no idea who the other guy is.

I voted Barabino for Councillor because I have no idea who the other guys are; partisan pick there.

I voted Democrat on all the rest!

My voting was done by filling in the circles with a pen. Seemed easy enough. I was the first vote in the box and they knew I was a Republican! They are going to fish my ballot out of the box and throw it away

Oh, and on petitions 1-3 I voted yes, no, no.

Sure thing; mods, can you do this please? Too much time has passed for me to edit the thread title.

OFFICIAL: I just VOTED thread! v.where/who/why/when

At 8:40am, right as the pre-work crowd was leaving I didn't spend that much time in line, had the EXTREMELY easy electronic machines (thatll prolly give my vote to republicans) and just hit "straight democrat" button, watched all the democrats light up, then hit the vote button

I'm in Philadelphia's 2nd district, so my rep is Rep. Fattah (African-name) you should know who the other Dem candidates are

I voted one block from Diamond Ave, in North Philly, so I was the only white person there, actuallly I was the only non-black person there

I voted straight Democrat because I'm a partisan Democrat and thats what we do, plus I hate Rick Santorum (for Sen) and love Ed Rendell (for Governor, I read his book which was excellent)

I voted a week ago. Oregon's mail-in ballot ftw.

Hooley for Congress, a Democrat.
Kulongoski for governor, a Democrat.

No on most ballot measures, especially 43, which was requiring parental notification of a minor's (15-18) abortion. No to term limits...and some other ridiculous measures.

I voted at about 9:15 this morning. Only two people in front of me but about 8 voting machines all had people in them. We have used electronic voting machines for as long as I can remember but these were different this time. Very easy to use (as were the last ones) but a paper receipt printed as you voted. At the end when you hit "I'm sure I'm sure" about 3 times you can watch the paper receipt print your final tally. Pretty cool.

Also signed a petition on the way out to keep the libertarian party on the ballots. After I was done the minister of my church (where this voting place is) signed it as well.

I voted a week or two ago.

Voted for libertarian NPA candidates for governor and senator.

Didn't vote in other elections that were strictly between Rep. and Dem.

Voted 'No' on all the judges.

Voted on the amendment issues.

All about the republican party being in shambles, not unified, can't make up their minds on the war, etc etc etc, basically the exact same shit that has plagued and continues to plague the democrats but they didn't mention that AT ALL. I only watched it for 40 mins but still, it was nothing but a big circle jerk for tom brokaw and his NBC counterparts. I wasn't too happy.

I have been officially disenfranchised.

I can't vote in this county because I got my paperwork in too late, but I guess it got in early enough to remove me from the eligible voter list in my old county.

They told me I was more than welcome to show up and vote, but they would throw my ballot out since I was no longer a resident.

Just got back from voting.

Electronic machines, receipt printed out as you hit your choices for candidates which is pretty nice.

Lets see, I voted for:

Supreme Court:

Robin Hudson
Sarah Parker
Patricia Timmons-Goodson
Mark Martin

Court of Appeals:

Linda Stephens
Bob Hunter

US House:
Rory Blake

NC House:

John Blust (Republican) .. interviewed him before and he's a solid guy IMO. Plus, he was unopposed.
