Ones where you vote on a computer.

It begs for abuse.

So if the Democrats win, will you call for investigations into tampering with the votes, etc. even if it means the Democrats might lose their win?

Somehow I doubt it...

In wards 7, 19, 51 in Philly, PA, the crowds are going wild. Inside several voting locations, individuals have poured white out onto the polling books and the poll workers are allowing voters to go into the polls and vote without first registering. Several individuals are on hand demanding that voters vote straight Democrat.

RNC lawyers have headed to the scene of the incidents, which are occurring in mostly hispanic precinct locations. The District Attorney has also been contacted.

More from the ground: Reports of voter intimidation by son-in-law of Philadelphia City Commissioner in 19th Ward. Carlos Mantos is not allowing Republican poll watchers with valid poll-watching certificates monitor polling places.

At Bernalillo County precinct 603 in Albququerque's NE Heights - where there are over 2400 registered voters, [County Clerk Mary] Herrera (who is also running for Secretary of State) only sent over 150 ballots. They ran out. A long time ago.

At a press conference today, Republicans called on Dem Clerk Mary Herrera to follow election law and get ENOUGH ballots at once out to the precincts where people are being turned away. Apparently, the same thing has happened in prectint 57 on Albuquerque's west side.

Mary Herrera's office has confirmed that they made a judgement call in sending over only 150 ballots to the Republcian heavy precinct 603. The Clerk's office sent over another 250 to try and alleviate the problem - a number NOBODY thinks is adequate.

And apparently this R heavy precinct had no provisional ballots available for the voters to use...a violation of federal election law.

More problems in Ohio
Lawmakers among those snagged by voting problems - Yahoo! News
CINCINNATI (Reuters) - Late poll openings and minor malfunctions with some new electronic voting machines were reported on Tuesday in midterm elections, and even some lawmakers encountered problems.
Ohio Rep. Jean Schmidt, one of many Republicans who could lose her seat because of voter anger over the war in Iraq, was among the first in line to vote at 6:30 a.m. (1030 GMT) but her paper ballot was rejected by the machine at her suburban polling station, and election officials had to put it aside to be counted later in the day.
"The scanner machine would not accept it for some odd reason," said Schmidt spokesman Matt Perin.
While Perin said he'd heard scattered reports of similar problems across Ohio, a battleground state, he said Americans should be confident their votes will count. "My personal guess is the machine was just warming up," he said.
Just warming up? What does he think that there were vaccum tubes in there or some shit? moden day electronics do not need to warm up.

I know my wife got the fucking shaft here, I was pissed.

She tried to re register last year after we got married and for some reason it didn't happen. She tried again 5 weeks ago and conveniently yesterday they sent her a letter "Mrs Kelsie XYZ, we're sorry to inform you we will not be able to process your voter registration request" this after FIVE weeks of waiting? It's supposed to take 7 to 10 days

Tell that to my computer, my laser printer, office copier, the two LCD screens on my desk.......they all take varying amounts of time to start before they'll do their job.

And there's a process for ballots that don't get read. Her ballot was handled in that process. What's the problem?
