Don't worry, when people get tired of the Democrats' crap, they'll swing to conservatives.

I just saw this (Lieberman) a few minutes ago and came on here to see Thor's reaction. I lol'd to be honest... I wasn't routing one way or the other, but it was a bit surprising to me.

Or is the cycle only applied to Democrats?

A lot of people are saying the time Lamont took off after the primary killed him.

He needed to keep pushing.

It's funny you say that because the Democrats ARE the conservatives at this point.

Nope.

People wil.l eventually get tired of the crap put out by both Parties, but what else would you expect when we really have only two parties to choose from? IT'll go from Democratic to Republican, to democrat to republican....

Lamont shot himself in the foot after the primary, and he never did a solid campaign afterwards

We got our message across, Lieberman is either just shy of 50 or just hitting it...he thought he'd win in a landslide with like 60%

Now, picking up 30+ house seats and the senate? (it looks like that now) how can i let one bad race turnout kill the overwhelming democratic victory

I mean honestly, in TX-22 you had a great chance with very conservative voters...with no one but a democrat on the ballot...and a libertarian

GREAT CHANCE at electing a libertarian...that was sad that they couldn't pick that up...

I'm actually glad an independant won, regardless if he used to be a democrat or republican. I hope people see this victory, and realize they DO have another CHOICE.

Just coming in to say I told you so.

Lamont was not the man for CT. Lieberman was not some firely elf drone that CT was willing to throw away. He's a good Senator and he deserved to win.

Lamont didn't run a good campaign at all. Before or after the primaries. It was just a lot of smear campaigns trying to close in the gap on the inevitable.

I disagree totally.

He did run a bad campaign, but only because he didn't keep pushing when he had momentum.

He did not run a smear campaign and Lieberman did not deserve to win.

But I suppose you guys have to find your victories somewhere.
Funny how much money the Republicans spent on someone who will caucus with the Democrats.

Lieberman expected 60% of the vote?

Not even close both him and members of his campaign were all over the news yesterday telling people not to get their hopes up that they didn't expect to even get 50% of the vote and beause of that they were unwilling to comment on whether or not he won.

I was sorta hoping that Lamont would win though, since he's anti-war.

I don't have a link on me but he said he's was confident the majority of CT voters would elect him...at just below 50% (i believe right now) he just got a plurality...that and the primary win are enough of a message for me

besides the big news is that the Dems captured the Senate and got 30+ seats
