When a middle class guy does it to get out of his credit card bill and collect food stamps he is clearly a free loading bastard. When Trump does it.. he is a smart businessman.
If an accountant knows all the loopholes and shady tricks to get out of paying your share of taxes it doesn't make him a bad accountant, it makes him a shady bastard. The same goes for Trump. Not a bad businessman, but a bad person.

Do you read? Edwards was a multimillion dollar trial lawyer. Did you miss the mid-1990s or something?

Never been a fan of trashing someone just because their politics differ from mine. It's dishonest.
The attacks are not because of the R. I just gave praise to several people who are probably republicans, one of them ran for president as a republican. So clearly there is more at work than just party affiliation.

It's business bankruptcy. It says " I have failed and I can't pay back my debts". It's there to help creditors get back something from the borrower. How many times has Apple declared chapter 11? How many times has GE or Coca-Cola declared chapter 11? It's an illustration to show that he is much less impressive a businessperson than many, many others.

Where was Trump when the last president cratered the economy? Standing on the sidelines praying to God that we didn't slip into a depression. Obama's understanding of the economy kept us from sliding off the edge and into 20% or 30% unemployment. republicans hated the stimulus so much they took credit for the jobs it created in their districts even though they voted against it and lied about the jobs it created.

Yeah. I got that "basic understanding of business and economics" right here.

This has to do with what? You seem to be blaming him for not taking action which would have been impossible to take.

Good one. Obama's understanding of the economy cost future taxpayers trillions and you haven't the slightest clue what the unemployment rate would have been without it.

And if you had any understanding of the economy you'd know that it's health isn't measured in the unemployment rate anyway. I can show you a completely crappy economy with 100% employment.

You obviously do not.

For the record, I can't stand Trump. He is sleazy and a horrible human being in general. But if you want to attack him, at least choose from the plethora of real reasons.

And yet despite all his failures, he's still one of the most successful businessmen in America (hence the whole being a billionaire thing).

Sometimes it's more profitable to declare bankruptcy. It eliminates debt pretty effectively

I think I would be less general here. He is "one of the most successful" Promoters in America. As for businessman, he's ok, but far from one of the most. I would say that Don King was more successful though.

I'm not saying he's the best. He's not. But while he did start off with "money", he didn't start off with anything even remotely close to what he has now. He built an empire out of himself. Promoter, businessman. Tomato tomahto. He makes money and his property's got to worth billions more.

I hate the guy, but he's not stupid

Yeah, he's not stupid. But as Ross kaminsky, of the American Spectator stated, Trump is just an "old-fashioned populist statist autocrat." And he is correct.

But I don't hate him: I don't even know him. I just don't particularly like him, that's all. And he doesn't support my "fantasy" thinking, as I have been accused.

LOL...
"Where was ____ when Bush was president?" default deflection shot down.

It appears Bush may still be in office.
