You know, I have an issue with the whole "Me me me" attitude. People expect to live in this country and make their money, get theirs...but aren't willing to do what is necessary to help this country out or their fellow countrymen. I hate what Americans have become...ignorant, selfish, greedy bitches.

America is one of the most giving countries in teh world.

Our charities top the rest of the world.

Americans themselves are very willing to help everyone around them; take Katrina for example, and the outpouring of love and support that came as a result. All without the government forcing us to do anything.

The fact remains, nobody is going to take care of me and my things like I will. I cannot, and will not, depend on someone else or the government to take care of me. Therefore, nobody should force me to take care of anybody else. I can and will of my own free will.

I find that quote extremely funny.

Our government knew the levees were going to fail and flood the city days before the hurricane hit. And knowing this they sat on their asses for weeks after the disaster before doing anything about it at all

I think the government was hoping they wouldn't.

But this is just another example fo something the government should not be in control of, and left to the private sector. The private sector can take care of the homeless, the poor, and the less capable than can the government as well.
