Now that I have your attention, I'm fond of quizzed just for shits and giggles.

I've done this one before but I like it (I may have even had a thread for it a long time ago but whatever).

Apparently, I'm borderline anarchist. Obviously no quiz can 100% define you. I'm not an anarchist (very close but no cigar), but it's interesting to think about nonetheless

Indeed. 1/2 my answers where hard right even yet I'm a Dem? I'm assuming it was my socialist answers to the economic questions but it would seem this test aims for a balance rather then an actual political position. That's part of what makes PC better, it has so many questions (it's a pretty long test) that it's able to actually build up a detailed profile of your politics.

The OK Cupid one is great for what it is; it's leaps and bounds better than the PC one. The best one out there is the PoFo quiz.

OK Cupid is too simplistic, PC actually covers everything from economics, to religion, to freedoms and thus provides a fuller profile.

And can you link to the PoFo quiz? I've never heard of it until no.

The great thing about the OKCupid one is it is fairly accurate for the small amount of simple questions it asks. If you want something more accurate, its likely going to have more questions and tougher questions. Try to get any of your friends to fill one of the longer ones out and they will laugh at you. They might actually try the okcupid one.

I like the Cupid one simply because its short and fairly accurate. I hate long quizzes. I already know what I am but I take quizzes just for shits and giggles

According the that image, Obama is a socialist. Judging by the questions, i felt I was being polled by a republican. Lotta religion questions.

The pictures are prior to Obama's presidency and based on his previous conduct.

Religion is heavily tied into the republican party, which is why there is much hypocrisy when it comes to rights and freedom. Fortunately for republicans, it garners a lot of support from Christians. Unfortunately it drives many others of us away from the party.

I personally cannot stand that four sided chart. It's too complicated IMO. just a simple sliding scale from left to center to right should do it all. I don't know why they have to complicate it like this.

I'd rather have it more complicated than too simplistic. A straight line doesn't tell one anything

Yes but are you a centralist capitalist, socialist, fascist or feudalist? Are you a centralist stateist or anarchist? Your collectivist (which you are as well unless your an anarchist) vs. individualist worldview doesn't tell anything about anyone beyond whether or not they're a collectivist or individualist.

Does that Libertarian chart tell you all that?

Well let's just take all the descriptions you mention above, and see if a simple sliding scale can do all that.

1. centerist - self-explanitary I believe.
2. capitalist - actually only a part of one's orientation. Not enough data
3. socialist - definitely a Collectivist, thusly on the Left
4. fascist - definitely a Collectivist, thusly on the Left
5. feudalist - what the hell is that? Didn't feudalism die out with divine right of kings?
6. stateists - are to the left of center, and make up a wide range of ideologies, including fascism, socialism, Marxism, and even Big Governnment Federalists. In other words, just about anything to the left of Center.
7. anarchist - definitely extreme Right, as in absence of structure, and highly indivdualistic.

See how simple that all works?
