Ignorance and possibly contempt for American values, civics and history might help explain how someone like Barack Obama could become president of the United States. At no other time in our history could a person with longtime associations with people who hate our country become president. Obama spent 20 years attending the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's hate-filled sermons, which preached that "white folks' greed runs a world in need," called our country the "US of KKK-A" and asked God to "damn America." Obama's other America-hating associates include Weather Underground Pentagon bomber William Ayers and Ayers' wife, Bernardine Dohrn.

The fact that Obama became president and brought openly Marxist people into his administration doesn't say so much about him as it says about the effects of decades of brainwashing of the American people by the education establishment, media and the intellectual elite.

It is so sad many Americans are completely brainwashed by the Leftists. Hopefully the disastrous BO presidency will teach them something.

The Left has worked hard for decades to indoctrinate our youth to hate America. The result is the Obama presidency and the love of the failed unjust system known as Socialism.

I suspect as little as 30 years ago, BO would never have won ANY political office and would have languished as a silly ignorant community organizer his entire worthless life.

What if I agree that greed runs the place as part of a system of both legal and illegal corruption, and that there is cultural and morally reprehensible actions that still take place every day in the country?

I might not make rhymes like "greed running a world in need" or call it the us kkka, but I see examples every day that support his rhetoric.

Maybe I agree and don't have a whole lot of issue with what he or barack obama has to say, so i voted for him because of that.

I do find it amusing that the only actual socialist president we've ever had was a Repub. I think that's why they try to label every Dem president a socialist, they overcompensate trying to cover up that fact.
