No doubt many of you youngsters and hippies from the 60s have chosen to accept the lies presented by the left.

We won the 1st war and had nothing to do with the 2nd. For some reason history overlooks the fact that Vietnam was a 2 parter.

You do realize we signed a peace treaty with NV, right? That's why we left, the war was over. Then SV kept on being the brutal dictatorship that it had been and NV noticed we weren't there so said screw it and declared on SV and steamrolled them. We opted out of helping SV and yet history records the US as losing a war it didn't fight. Idiots like you keep that myth going.

The ironic thing is that NV/Vietnam has proven to be a better ally.

The biggest reason we lost Vietnam was it was the first time Americans saw the carnage of war as it was broadcasted on the nightly news every evening. National morale plummeted.

Why don't you think Bush wanted the caskets of dead soldiers from Iraq being broadcasted all over the place? It had nothing to do with respect, it was all about maintaining morale.

American propaganda during WWII tremendously helped keeping morale at home very high, despite of the tremendous casualties we were suffering abroad.

Vietnam was lost for many reasons, the media attention being the biggest, IMO. Obviously, we should never have gotten involved.

Just like Libya. Syria is deteriorating into an even worse situation. Why hasn't Obama gone after them like Libya?

We won the war! The stinking commies agreed to peace after Nixon bombed the crap out of them. The treaty was signed. The war ended and we WON!

We agreed to protect the South from commie aggression and provide the South with as much military material as needed.

But, then a funny thing happened. Anybody know?
