I doubt many Americans will care how much devastation is done up in the frozen 'wastes' of Canada. We have a long history of not caring about the ruin done unto others as long as we get what we want.

If the hope on cheaper gasoline is held out many will just shrug off any of the untidy bits.

Well, trying to rob the oil from Iraq didn't work out so good, so I guess they figure they need a pipeline from Canada. The American war machine got its butt kicked over there in Iraq, just like in Vietnam. A little ecological devastation in Canada is a picnic compared to what the Bush and Obama regimes did to the people of Iraq.

You know, instead of more investment in oil and American military aggression in the Middle East to steal the oil of Iraq and Iran I'd like to see more investment in solar and wind power. But that ain't gonna happen under capitalism. The oil companies have to much power!

But who knows. Maybe they won't need the oil pipeline if they invade Iran and install some other puppet just like the Shah.

Good video, although it seems to be based on this gentleman's emotion. I question just how objective it is.

That being said, I sure hope that they don't tear the shit out of all that land. Wetlands are FTW.

I don't think it is based on emotion, but rather the speaker is passionate about the subject.

While Iraq war was stupid and not needed, we didn't exactly get our ass handed to us. Obama didn't start that either and he facilitated leaving the place. Vietnam was much much worse.

Otherwise I agree... a trillion dollars that we used in Iraq could have probably put up a lot of solar and wind power plants, established multiple high speed rail lines, and built out an infrastructure that would support the distribution of hydrogen..that we could use to run our vehicles on. The most abundant resource we have and burns clean.
