| My 4 year old started soccer last night He is playing at the Y and he is so excited. The coach is sooooo friggen awesome (unlike my 7 year olds coach that I made a thread about a while back). The coaches name is Eduardo and he runs around with the kids and does really fun drills with them, and they listen to him (which is a talent). He has a really thick accent and sometimes it's hard to figure out what he is saying but he makes fun of himself at the same time and cracks the kids up. Anyway, he asks how many kids know some Spanish. My son raises his hands (he does watch Dora and Diego after all) and Eduardo says; "Say one in Spanish!" My son screams "UNO!!!" Then Eduardo says "Say two in Spanish!" and my son screams "DOS!!!" Eduardo says "Say three in Spanish!" My son screams "TRES!!!". So the rest of practice Eduardo speaks Spanish to my son. And my son says "ok" and runs off doing what the other kids are doing. He has no idea what he is saying, and I think Eduardo thinks he is Hispanic because my son has such dark skin/eyes/hair from my wife being Hawaiian. But everyone is having a blast so I could care less.Ahhh.... such a relief to have a great coach after the disaster of my other sons coach... | ||||
