But Republicans HATE Solyndra and the Loan Program

Ignoring the fact that it was a Bush regime program...I've constantly heard about Solyndra and the program as an example of what's wrong with Obama. Well let's vote on it then...oh wait...we did.

Great win for the Republican controlled House...who promised so much and has delivered NOTHING to the idiots spewing nonsense about how they were going to change things.

Not sure what this means... Are you comparing Obama to Bush again? Republicans and Democrats are the problem.

Isn't that the Truth! They just suck a little bit differently, that's all.

Are you suggesting we should have eliminated a potentially useful program because of something that had not happened yet and ended up being a poor decision? That's dumb.

I have always been for the program. It's just shocking to me that the people who railed against it had a chance to get rid of it yet they keep it.

I mean, isn't that the hope and change that was supposed to come with the Republicans taking over the House?

Were they against the program itself or just giving it to a dead end company?

Paul Ryan and many others spoke out against the program...the ones claiming "why should the government get to pick winners and losers?" Those people.

Well, the government picked a loser to win so maybe they have a point. Still think it is a useful program if the right companies are chosen.

It wasn't even a bad investment. It was profitable for a good decade until the market shifted. It's not the gov't's fault people started buying from other companies.

It was profitable until the cost of silicon to make traditional panels dropped to a price level below their own product. Then they started selling their product at a loss. This is when they received the loan which was used to increase production to reduce manufacturing costs. Except their new manufacturing equipment sucked and they were never able to increase production because of it.

So the government gave a loan to a business that was already selling it's product at a loss on the hopes that new manufacturing equipment would make it economically competitive again.
